Description

Selling a 1996 Alfa Spider with the 2. 0L Twin Spark Motor. Overall condition will satisfy car collector's and it's likely only 1 of 4 916 Spider's known to be in the USA. Winning bidder will receive a clear Ohio title and a scanned copy will be emailed immediately for the buyer's inspection. The title should transfer to any US State with the exception of California. The car was delivered to North America by way of Japan by prior owners. I purchased the car already in the US. so no import paperwork will be offered with the sale. Interested in a GTV? Please see item # 111611427243Vin: It is not in the eBay registry probably because the car was never intended to be sold in the US market. Condition (Mechanical) . Mechanically the car is in perfect running condition. Absolutely nothing needs to be done. Clutch has plenty of life left and the car starts off fine on some very steep inclines. The Brembo Brakes stop the car evenly and without pulsating pedals or brake squeal. Timing belt was changed within the past year as was a complete tuneup including 100K KM spark plugs. Exhaust system also replaced with a custom stainless (see pics below). Tires are about 60% treadlife remaining. This Spider will drive cross country tomorrow if need be. Condition (Cosmetic) . Cosmetics are far better then most cars of this age. but then the mileage is extremely low. Canvas top does have some stains (see pics) but there are no tears or loose stitching. The rear plastic window was replaced recently so it's as clear as glass. Seats do have some very light cracking consistent with the age of the vehicle (see pics below). Mille Miglia wheels are in great shape although the driver's side does have a bit of curb rash. Unfortunately the design of the wheels is such that they extend out beyond the rubber of the tires making it tricky to parallel park. A little about me. I'm a collector of rare and unusual automobiles in the US. I'm not a dealer but have bought. sold. and traded many as a hobby and a supplement to my military pension (I'm a retired Air Force aviator). I recognize the difficult situation a buyer might be faced with when considering a car from a new eBay account holder. Therefore I'm offering references from prior sales to anyone who wants them. In addition. I'll drive the car over to any mechanic in metro-Seattle for an unbiased inspection. Of course. prospective buyer must pay for the inspection though. I do travel between both Ohio and the Pacific Northwest so if you desire to see the car. please let me know as much in advance as possible. I can provide free airport transportation from Seattle (Seatac). I do check eBay messages usually each evening. but the best way to reach me is text/phone. My cell is:(614) 758-7524About delivery. I always recommend Uship for shipping estimates. If you prefer the car driven. I'll deliver to the "lower 48" states and match whatever price is determined through a Uship auction. If you require this. please get in touch with me first before bidding (or making an offer). My personal insurance does not cover this type of delivery though. so I would need to have the buyer protect the car through his/her own insurance company before departure. Pics were taken on 2/26/2015. Odometer is in KM's. Conversion is X. 62
