Description

Introduced late in 1962. the replacement for the Giulietta came in a Berlina sedan. plus a Sprint coupe done at Bertone ( though the complete car was assembled at the Alfa plant ). The later and rarer 101 series sports a 1600 -cc /4 cylinder engine rated at 104 horsepower mated to a 5 speed all-synchro manual gearbox. This left hand drive car was the subject of a 2007 nut and bolt restoration in Italy to original factory condition. with all period correct materials. using an already sound 70. 00 kilometer southern Italian car as a basis. The car was issued the Gold ASI ( Automotoclub Storico Italiano ) certification identifying the car as having been restored to the very highest factory specifications. even described on the certificate as being to a 'radically high standard'. The arrow straight Bertone bodywork is flawless. quality of the paint is exceptional. no orange peel with a thin. deep lustrous shine contrasted by a superb off white and blue cloth interior. The paint color is a light turquoise blue called "azzurro aqua marina". Mechanically. the car is completely standard and properly set up. This Sprint performs without fault. If you've driven a sorted example of one of these cars. you know what a delightful and responsive machines they are. quicker then the less powerful 750 series Giulietta models. even the Veloce. The undercarriage of this car is as good as the top. totally rust free and correct in detail. Imporeted to the U. S. in 2013. nbsp;with a tailored branded car cover. ASI certification plaque and tailored protective mats. Titled in the U. S. Please contact Billy Morgan. owner at brv4morgan@msn. com
