Description

NO RESERVE! Just purchased this HEAD TURNER on ebay for the purpose of towing my 1959 Vintage Glamper Travel trailer to shows and Rally's. paid to have it shipped enclosed transport from California to Florida. One short drive around town we were literally stopping traffic with the honks. waves. and thumbs up. it drove with no problems at all. You won't see another one like this on the road and the color is just PERFECT! Now for the problem. after looking over the car the rear suspension is not an ideal setup for towing my Glamper and my hubby is concerned that the engine would need to be modified to handle the load. So. if I take this to shows we would have to tow the camper with our truck and drive this car separately. we wouldn't want to travel in 2 cars. Hubby said we need a 1959 Apache Truck for our tow rig. and this car is too pretty to sit in the garage. it needs to be on the road for all to enjoy. I don't have the garage space for this car and another tow vehicle so regretfully I have decided to post it for sale. Would be awesome for breast cancer awareness events and photo shoots too. below is all the info related to the car from the listing where I bought it. good luck and happy bidding! The shipper I used was great. I'm happy to help you coordinate shipping if need be. This is a 1 of a kind wagon. 1959 Rambler cross country 4 door. The body has been completely stripped and painted. All stainless trim was removed along with the bumpers lights and interior. We started with a rust free wagon that was in great shape and was a daily driver. I spent many countless hours straightening and polishing the stainless trim. also spent many countless hours polishing all the chrome this car came with in 1959. Then after it was painted it took 6 days just to install all the stainless trim and bumpers. The interior was all custom made there are no kits available for these cars. 1. seats were springs and rebuilt from springs up. all new foam then 2 tone pink and white with pleats 2. the door panels were also custom made pink and white with pleats to match the seats. 3. carpet was also made up to fit the car done in black with floor mats 4. The headliner is a total master piece it is beautiful and flawless done in white. 5. new visors too. 6. arm rests also redone in pink. 7. I also have carpet for the rear if you choose to have it cut to fit and then can snap it in and out. 8. new rubber for the door jambs. I replaced all the rubber that was available but some of the rubber around the windows is still the original and old looking. (its just not available)The car was painted in single stage Mary Kay Powder Pink with white inserts with a white roof. The car looks amazing inside and out. motor is original straight 6 that runs great very smooth and reliable. 103k original miles and still runs perfect. no smoke or funny sounds you cant hardly hear it running The transmission is 3 speed auto with push button shifter and work perfect. and shifts great thru all gears. Tires are new radials. with 3" white wall inserts Brakes are good but pull a little to the right I think its grabbing from lack of use. interior was completely painted inside. the roof. the doors inside and door jambs. the floor the dash steering wheel and column too. it looks very nice. the motor comp was painted with blk/grey splatter paint and the underside of the hood was painted pink. lights work on this wagon. headlights hi beam low beam. . urn signals. rake lights. ash lights. ect. gauges all work too. gas. temp. speedo ect. original radio is non-op. and 1 dash piece is missing around the clock. the clock was a very rare option. there is one piece of the front grill that is damaged in the lower right corner. but I do have another grille section for replacement. the backup lights do not work either. the socket it bad on the light its self but is repairable with a new socket. I will Be adding motor comp pics but I broke my digital camera yesterday and will be adding them in the next couple days. I have listed cars in the past here on ebay and have never had a unhappy buyer. Please check my feed back. On Feb-18-15 at 16:49:26 PST. seller (I bought the car from on Ebay) added the following information: I have had a few questions about the car . 1. this is not a frame off build this is a nice quality driver. not a show car. 2. the motor compartment is painted with blk and grey splatter paint inner fender wells are blk. 3. the underside of the car is original and rust free I did not try to cover anything up and hide stuff. 4. The tops of the door around the window frame when you open them is kind of brown that's the original glue from the factory that held in the original rubber. we are working on putting the rubber in the jambs now so it will be done when the car is sold. 5. The rubber around the windows and glass is original and not available since these cars have not been made for decades. so they are cracked. again this is a driver not a show car. 6. the front windshield has a 3" crack in it behind the rear view mirror the windshields are not available. 7. The windshield wipers do not work. vacume I do believe which doesn't bother me I don't drive my classics in the rain anyway. 8. the chrome is not perfect it is original from 1959. I have spent a lot of money and didn't want to drop another 2k in chrome to make it show trailer queen I drive my cars. all of them.
