Description

2000 Aston Martin Vantage Volante V12 with automatic gearbox Car is in near perfect condition aesthetically and mechanically. Factory options include the single resonator sport exhaust (sounds fantastic). top level factory stereo (mp3. cd. double amps). full size spare tire and tool kit (most have a can of tire sealant and do not come with a true spare). wool mats. air screen. matching factory indoor car cover and the double mesh front grills. I bought the car in August of 2011 and immediately had it serviced at Aston Martin Dallas (clear Texas title). All the maintenance I have done has been purely preventative as I am familiar with these cars and the common service items that all need to be eventually addressed. You will not find another cared for example like this that is completely up to date and properly maintained. Maintenance included: 1. -All updated factory-new coil packs (complete). AND complete factory updated vacuum line harness…the entire factory item. not partial. Also replaced were the spark plugs (proper platinum NGK's). throttle body gaskets. intake gaskets. injector connectors. EGR gasket. injector o-rings uppers and lowers. and valve cover gaskets. Also replaced were the fuel filters. air filters and wiper blades (which are factory). Total cost for this service was $5247. 78. Done at 12. 87 miles. At the same time this was done. I had the valve covers and intake manifold media-tumbled and refinished in Aston Martin’s platinum. Normally. these motors come with matte silver manifolds and matte grey valve covers…it does not look finished from the factory. I also had the coil pack shields ceramic coated in bright aluminum. Cost for the painting and coating was over $600. it was done properly with factory texture. 2. -Front shock tower top mounts / bushings. Done at 12. 87 miles 3. -Replacement of both fuel pumps. cleaning of tank and replacement of gaskets and fuel lines as well as breather lines. Also replaced both fuel pump relays and fuses of course. Done at 16. 98 miles 4. -New battery. Done at 13. 00 +/- miles 5. -New tires at 16. 00 miles 6. -New power steering hoses and I fixed problematic reservoir cap (common). Also charged the A/C refrigerant…A/C is super cold. Done at 16. 51 miles. 7. Car has had four oil / filter changes (Mobil 1 0-40) in 4k miles. Factory filters. Current oil change has about 250-300 miles on it. The only current issue is a sporadic passenger airbag light which has a mind of it’s own and is also very common with these cars. The airbag unit is fine as confirmed by both AM Dallas and Galpin and their recommendation was to let it be. Sometimes it will be off for months. but if I don't keep it on the trickle charger. it will come on occasionally. There is not another example of this vintage with this maintenance or condition out there. Most need (or will need) what I have already done and most owners neglect doing some of the more difficult items. Drive and enjoy.
