Mechanical: Engine: Runs excellent. Does not overheat. runs to almost center of temp gauge. Transmission: Shifts correctly and smoothly as it should. Kickdown is good. Power Steering and Brakes: Work perfectly. Air Conditioning: Blows cold. Battery: Good Condition Suspension/Wheels & Tires: General Altimax RT 205/70R14 tires are fairly new (RR is new). Wheels are in excellent condition but need to be repainted (A weekend job for a DIYer). The full size spare tire and alloy wheel are in as new condition (they may not ever have been on the ground). The front struts and springs appear to have been replaced and feel like they are stiffer and lower than stock. This was done by a PO so I have no idea what specs were used. All four axle boots have just been replaced and the CV joints regreased. Four wheel alignment just done and car tracks perfectly. Exterior: Body: This car is very straight and does not appear to have ever had any significant damage of any kind. Paint: Most the paint appears to be original and is in excellent condition considering that it is 30-year old paint and still has plenty of luster. It is your basic 20-footer and the paint will need some maintenance going forward (Correct Color Code Spray Paint Included). There is one small spot on the RR wheel arch where there is some bubbling (this should be an easy repair). Rust: Virtually none and definitely none of any significance. Trim: I have replaced both of the end caps on the front bumper. Some of the rubber trim on the exterior could probably do with being replaced such as the right front outside window seal and perhaps the sunroof seal as it is a bit hard. Sunroof: I have rebuilt much of the sunroof sliding mechanism and it now works great. Interior: Leather Seats: Amazing condition. the car came with sheepskin type seat covers that may have been on it since almost new. Door Cards & Carpets: Excellent condition. The original floor mats were with the car and are shot. but they did protect the carpet very well. Headliner: Excellent condition but could probably do with a cleaning. I did have the sunroof panel repaired professionally. Rear Parcel Shelf: Or Hat rack according to BMW. was in poor condition when I bought this car so I had it professionally refurbished to excellent condition. Leather Steering Wheel: Original to the car. I had this professionally refurbished to excellent condition. Dash: I had a Dash Cap professionally installed. Replaced two of the climate control sliders and knobs. Replaced most of the dash lights and they now all work correctly. Climate Control works fine. The glove box flashlight is there but will need to be refurbished to work. Power Seats & Headrests: Both work perfectly. Odometer/Miles: I am estimating the miles on this car to be 160k ±5k based on the CarFax which has the mileage steadily increasing to 137k on 1/12/2011 and then 3 months later it shows with 21. 68 on 4/8/2011. It has been steadily increasing since and is now showing just over 40k indicating to me that around that time that an odometer with around 20k was swapped in at that time. Note: Odometer failure is a common problem on these cars (a plastic gear tends to die)Known Issues: R134a Refrigerant Adapter attached to Dryer needs to be moved or replaced so the Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir will fit correctly. Wiper Mechanism Probably Needs to be Lubed (it stutters a bit when turning off on the last wipe)AS IS - NO WARRANTY:This vehicle is being sold as is. where is with no warranty. expressed written or implied.
