Description

1996 BMW 328i Convertible. 49. 8k Original Documented Miles. I purchased this vehicle locally as a surprise for my wife in early April from a gentleman who had owned it since 1999. I immediately invested in a mechanical inspection and some genuine BMW preventative maintenance. I then presented my wife with her new “toy” and it did not go well. We have a 9 month old daughter. and I believed this would be something we could enjoy as a family in the warmer months. Unfortunately my wife would much rather I had spent that kind of money on a kitchen remodel (or just not spent it at all!). She’s thoroughly unhappy with my purchase. so the car will have to go. Reserve is set to where I will take a substantial loss on my impulse purchase. so bid with confidence. My loss is your gain. As you might expect. the vehicle still has the new BMW smell. and drives straight and smooth. It has always been garaged. and the previous owner took great care of the vehicles cosmetics. I have a clear title in hand. no liens. THE PERFECT: · ONLY 49. 39 MILES! · JUST Completed: Serpentine belt and AC Belt. Brake Fluid. Coolant. Differential Fluid. Air Filter. Cabin Air Filter. Also received a 100+ point inspection (100% clear inspection except for a small bit of weeping from a coupling at the end of a transmission cooler line. That’s it!) · The car has all Maintenance up-to-date. and nearly every service has been done at either Kelly BMW or Midwestern BMW. · IMPORTANT: Kelly BMW replaced the top motor and cables just 2 or 3 years ago! This is a $2500 item which any older BMW you look at will need at some point! · Oil/filter changed in October at Midwestern BMW just 200 miles ago · All 4 tires are MATCHING Goodyear Eagle GT All-Seasons. You won’t need to replace these for a long time. and they are nice and quiet. and all have about 7/32” remaining · ALL SERVICE RECORDS ARE INCLUDED · Exterior in excellent condition. very glossy. and interior clean and in very nice condition (never been smoked in. never abused). Inside and out the car is excellent. Driver bolster has wear as is normal with sports cars. · The A/C blows cold and strong · Comes with 2 original keys. books. window sticker · The car has a super-clean vehicle history and was maintained it meticulously. This car absolutely drives as it should given the low low miles. · The paint has a deep shine · The wheels are GENUINE German ATS 18” with BMW center caps. Very high-end factory looking wheels. · NO Leaks. NO Smoke. NO Smells. Etc. THE IMPERFECT: · The body shows some very minor door dings. mainly on the drivers side. I wasn’t able to capture any of them in photos. · The dealer recommended a new headliner and tension straps when they replaced the top motor and cables. The headliner is unglued at the back corners which can be fixed easily. BUT the headliner inner coating is flaking off (very common as they age) which causes some flakes to fall out when you put the top up and down. This is an annoyance. not a mechanical issue. The tension straps do not cause a major problem either. and there are many DIY fixes on the forums. There is a small bit of wear on the fabric top above the driver's window from where the tonneau cover bumps the top while retracting. DIY fix for bow 3-4 will fix this. · The passenger airbag light stays on for about 2 minutes after starting the car. then goes off. This may be normal. but it seems like it should go off right after startup just like all the other indicator lights. · The radio volume knob is finicky as it does not correlate your turn and the actual change in volume very well (jumpy). Additionally. the aftermarket stereo items in the trunk don’t seem to be working. so the stereo only runs through the front door speakers unless this aftermarket hifi system is removed later. · That’s it! OVERALL: This is a great car. and has been meticulously cared for. It runs and drives PERFECTLY and needs nothing to be enjoyed for many more years starting now! Bid with confidence as you see that I have a flawless track record on eBay. I have bought/sold multiple vehicles and have never had any problems. Please Email me with any questions you may have. and let me know if you would like to view the car before the end of the auction. I am located in Dublin. Ohio Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
