Description

BMW 635 CSi A True Classic that is quickly on the rise in value. A solid investment car. Known commonly as the "shark nose" and or "gentleman's coupe". (My 325ic is not for sale in the pic. ) This is a fantastic original example in a well preserved state. Stunning black on black color combo. with all it's original paint that shines like new. No accident. clean Carfax. clean NJ title in hand. This is a Texas. 0 rust on body or undercarriage. EVER!!! Car has been in and out of storage the last 10 years since owner moved to NJ. Fewer than 8K miles driven in that time. Most examples remaining have been through the ringer of rust repairs. NOT THIS. This car represents what I would call "Preservation over Restoration". Good original cars consistently are valued higher than restorations. Cars are only original ONCE! This car has retained all it's original sheet metal. glass. interior. and engine. Garage kept. Car is turn-key. it starts. runs. drives. stops as it should. can be driven anywhere. It has been well maintained as good service documentation indicates. Excellent tires with no dry rot at 80-90%. Beautiful 1987 BBS wheels just restored (NOT reproduction knock-offs). Comes with a dust cover. I have lots of detailed pics if you need more than this format allows. These are the "highs" in a nut shell. I'd say they totally out weigh the lows. Pics speak for themselves. and shows even better in person. Here are the "lows" to the best of my knowledge . as I am not the type to hide things. I have a long solid rating for good reasons. Honesty is the best policy. The interior. though all original shows wear. mainly in the leather of the front seats. Their age is showing but not horrible. There are no tears or seems coming undone. just dry surface cracking. I'd just cover them and keep them original. but that's me. Rear seats are a 9. The drivers seat has a few teeth worn down in the recline position that can skip. (it's repairable). All of the motor drives and switches work fine. Spare tire is original and has some dry rot. seems to hold air though. Plastic front cowl has been reconditioned but original. (typical curb rash removed)Rear rotors have gouging and should be spun. Braking fine and pads have lots of life left. Speedo had quit working and was replaced with a used one at around 156K and PO failed to properly document change over. So I must sell as "Unverified Milage"The drivers side door has a slight sag in the hinge and should be adjusted by anyone that knows how. It just takes a little more effort to close than it should. There are a few minor chips and dings. I'm sure a good paintless dent guy could fix most little dents. I DID NOT PHOTOSHOP ANY PICS TO HIDE IMPERFECTIONS. Stereo not original but working. nbsp;power antenna works too. Dash has cracks (Texas heat) I bought a nice swede cover that is not installed but comes with. Small crack in clear gauge cluster shield by speedo reset. I have good replacement that goes with. Needs new valve cover gasket installed. leaking. New one comes with. Trunk tool kit MIA. I've seen them on ebay complete for about $300. Pics show "i" in CSi missing on the rear deck lid. It was loose at the time and I since fixed it proper. Could probably use a good tune up from having not being used much. Runs fine now. That's it- all very minor things in my eyes. This is a great car. It is not a new car. It is 30 years old. If you seek perfection. look elsewhere. Be realistic. as I am. I am not a dealer. This is a AS-IS sale. No warranty given or implied. I have represented this car to the best of my ability. Please do not bid what you can not immediately afford to pay. Any bidder with less than a 5 rating will be ignored/blocked without talking to me first. I reserve the right to end this auction early if the car no longer becomes available because of a local sale or change of mind about selling it at all. I don't mean to sound unfriendly. because I am quite friendly. I just need to lay down some simple ground rules due to several past bad experiences with would be buyers. I can be reached on my cell to answer any further questions. Ron S. (908)963-2277Please be aware that your bids are in fact contractual. If you are not comfortable with that process than don't bid. I would recommend making an appointment to see the car and inspect it in person prior otherwise.
