Description

2000 BMW E46 factory sport package sedan. Adult owned and maintained. Car motor runs strong and the car drives great. Has always been regularly maintained, synthetic oil, etc.Steel blue metallic over gray leather.Premium Harmon Kardon sound with BMW business CD player.Cold weather package with heated seats.Factory Sport package, sport seats, interior trim, M-tech steering wheel.Manual transmission.Sunroof.
The car is pictured as it is. I ran it through a $5.00 car wash but otherwise it's pictured accurately, as it came out of storage. No Armorall bath, new tire shine, shampoo, etc. The car has always been kept clean.
Work that has been completed recently.
Brand new VMR V710 matte black 18" rims ($1070) with Medvici oil dipped lug nuts ($125).Brand new Continental Control Contact tires. 225 40 R18's in the front. 255 35 R18's in the rear ($840). There may be ten miles on these tires.Brand new parking brake. The cables all the way back. ($324 parts and labor).New slotted and cross drilled rotors with high performance pads all the way around ($670).Brand new hubs and wheel bearings all the way around. ($590).New BMW factory OE battery. ($235).Brand new BMW M-tech front number with fog lights. The old one was a little torched due to the stance of the car. It is professionally fitted and installed but not painted. The color is not really too far off the steel blue. Fog lights are wired and operational ($625).Matte black grills. The OE chrome pieces will come with the car. Both control arms and tie rods were replaced about a year ago as well.Oil change.
There was a factory recall for some type of rear sub frame issue. That was completed by BMW of the Hudson Valley in New York.
Car is dropped 2" (front) and 1.5" (rear) on H&R race springs. - Not by me FYI. This wreaked havoc on the factory struts / springs. So included with the car is a brand new (in the box) set of KW Variant 1 V1 coilovers ($1700) and strut reinforcement plates. The strut towers are straight. Once these are installed the mechanical portion of the overhaul is pretty much complete. The car runs and drives great. Some exterior work and this is not too far away from being a fantastic E46. If you add up the money spent on this car recently someone is basically getting the car for free.
Car has a Dinan exhaust system and stage one software upgrade performed at a Dinan approved BMW dealer. It sounds awesome.
Work that needs to be done. All cosmetic save the window motor.
The window motors...... . The rear drivers side is open about 1.5". The rear passenger is up but not functional. Both fronts will open and close. How smoothly this happens depends on the day.The headliner is okay. But the cloth on the four pillars is loose. The sunroof clips that allow the shade to slide open and shut are broken. The new clips come with the car. You can still move the shade by hand. But do not let the roof pull it back. If it jams it could damage your sunroof. There are an odd number of typical paint chips in the hood. It doesn't look terrible but they're there.Dents and scratches here and there. There is a reasonably small rust spot right over the passenger rear wheel. There's metal there so it can be repaired easily.
So mechanically once the coilovers are installed this is a very solid mechanical car. It looks nice, but you should expect to do some exterior work if you want it to look really sharp. There shouldn't be any surprises here. Any questions, please call. 216-924-8755. - John
