Description

1996 BMW 318i Convertible. Reliable car, no rust and fun to drive. I have owned the car for 3 years and have kept it in a garage. Air-conditioning and heated seats work as well. New Convertible Top - Feb 2016 from topsonline.com installed by one of their certified installers which gives it a 5 year warranty Newer Tires - Matching Sears Radar tires, 2 tires have 3000 miles 2 have 200 miles Body - Generally in good shape for a 20 year old car. One dent in the left front fender and paint on the trunk is worn. Interior - Also generally in good shape for a 20 year old car. Seats have some wear but no rips. Some trim work is faded and worn. You can see picture of rear vents that are missing and the seat belt cover that is cracked. Aftermarket Sony CD player has headphone jack to connect phone. Recent service: Oil change, new passenger side ball joint and body bushing, new camshaft position sensor. That is all that it has needed in 3 years. Known issues: 1. Dashboard gauges occasionally stop working and then quickly come back to life. A known E36 series problem. There are many people selling the gauge cluster on ebay that can be swapped in. 2. Small leak in power steering. Believed to be just in the hoses that connect the reservoir to the pump. Once a year fill with fluid and Lucas oil sealer takes care of it 3. Passenger window occasionally pops off the track. I can pop it back into the guides on the track. Someone more mechanically inclined could take out the window, bend the track back into the correct position and fix for good.
