Description

2001 e39 M5 Clean carfax no accident with first maintenance record since Sept. 2003 withall bill of sale from previous owners. There may beduplicate recording under carfaxaccording to the bill of sale Ishould be the 4th owner. All current maintenance performed using only OEM parts including recent German OEM battery, OEM wipers, new brakes including booster, power steering hoses replaced and flush with BMWsynthetic ATF fluid along with transmission oil using Royal Purple Synchromax making a difference in smoothness. About 16k miles ago New clutch, flywheel, gumbo joint, and main seal. New BMW windshield glass replaced. GPS to MkIV and added the DICE system to blue tooth connectivity. Radio detector is hold up but not used.Oil changed with Castrol 10w-60 TWS from Turner Motorsport oil change kitevery 4k miles per previous owner and two oil changes within 4K miles during my two years of ownership, no oil leaks both engine bayand under engine panel bone dry. Michelin Super sport pilot tires with front at midlife and the rear requiring replacement soon. I was going toinstall four brand new tires but it would be a good time to refurbish the wheels as well, so let the new owner to decide. Tire rack currently having a greatsale on Continental Extreme Contact DW at $123 eachfor the front and $129 eachfor the rear.Or $243 each for the rear if you decided to stick with Michelin SS. Both are great tires as I have the Continental on my 996 for longer wear, the M5 is more of a touring car and with mostly freeway driving, so may be the Continental makes sense ( Original price $260 ). External original paint in excellent condition garage kept by all owners a few scratches, a small dent on the driver door upper window sill, small paint chips in front hood, rear bumper got some clear coat delamination but the BMW M5 paint is extra thick as you could see from the chips so all the aforementioned discrepancies are not noticeable( see pics ) If you want perfection all these may be easily repaired by a reputable shop. Surprisingly there are no parking lot dents at all after all these years, indeedshowing pride ofownerships. The red color changes fromorange on sunny days like a e36 M3todeep red especially beautiful under overcastor early evening conditions. Still get thumbs up and attentions when I bring it to local dealership. NewM5 mats but using BMW rubber mats, WeatherTech trunk mat/tray, really appreciate all previous owners keeping this M5 so clean so I also do my best here. As you see thecarpets always protected and kept clean with interior clean and leather treated and theexterior wash and wax frequently. Steering wheel is like new with bright M stitching. The interior options included the extended leather where leathers are used on the dash, sun visors, door panels, front and center consoles plus the Alcantara headliner are in flawless condition making it exceptionally luxurious to the standard base interior. Also it is the Best exterior Imola Red and Caramel leather combo where it aged especially well especially from the rear a classic look without any modification. Its holding up and looks modelcomparing to other colors with the usual black or now obsoleted dual color interior . Rear view lava lamp mirror recently rebuild by Doctor Mirror to new condition. No performance chips, the only modifications are Short shift kit using OEM e60 shifter with illuminated shift knob and muffler delete option saving weight and sounds awesome while unobtrusive with normal driving. Both mods are recommended by BMWCCA. Extra oil filters, air filters, seven qtrs. of 10w-60 TWS, and Gold (brand) magnetic oil drain plugcome with sale. I have appreciated and enjoyed the beast, it's time to let hergo to a new home instead of idling in the garage. Most major items are completed just continue to take care of her and enjoy. This is priced fairly at$18,500 obo. Seriously inquiry only. Per several questions here are the date and mileage of documented maintenance.

OEM Clutch/Flywheel/Main seal/Thermostat/coolant flush/Guibo joint/Crank seal/cam sensor - replaced at 82K

OEM rear rotors/pads/sensors/rear ball joints/Mass flow sensor/cabin air filter/- replaced at 87K

OEM front rotors/pads/booster/system flush/valve cover gasket/power steering hoses/cup holders- replaced at 94K

Engine oil & filter/trans oil change/ air filter/inspect for camguidewear noted no noise/ vanos no noise -98K

I have received several offers with the highest offer very close to my reserve. I have lowered my BIN from $19,750 to $18,500 along with lowering my automatic rejection as well. This vehicle will go to a good home! I do have a independent shop or dealership close by to perform a PPI with estimate quote at $300, they do need minimum of one day notice, I also have contact on good vendorto have the wheels refurbished at $200/ wheel includingbalancing some ofyou asked about using new tires at tire rack and doing the wheels before shipment, I would entertain that with no charge on my expense once a offer price is accepted as these are additional direct billing from the vendors. The M5 market is at or near the bottom, one may purchase a low mileage M5 from EAG BMW but this is a driver you would enjoy and still keeping pace with the value curve as long as you keep up with the maintenance while adding tasteful upgrade during your ownership. The color combo is upmost important in my opinion as there's a lot of corporate color, two tone, and black interiors, few exciting as Imola Red with Caramel with 1/3 to 1/4the price of a investment grade M5. Butthey pretty much look and drive the same, except when you review theodometer. Worse yet there are no escape on maintenance as it is the worse thing to have the car idle. This is not a daily driver but take it ona short trip like LA to SF,PDX to BC, Dallas to Houston to see a concert orcross country trips are memorable. Keeping the mileage around 3K a year, keep it clean, drive it, maintain itbutno abuseand you will still be a reasonable low mileage M5 in 5 years. And then pass the torch as we are just inn keepers to keep the light on. Who knows or cares at this price whether the market will go up or not. You already had the e39 M5 ultimate experience! They just don't make it like this anymore....
