Description

Up for sale: 2001 BMW 750iL
100,900 miles
Interior:All of the shades are still in tact, and they all open. The rear sunshade still works. All of the compartment openings work, nothing is stuck. The cigarette outlet covers open, everything works perfect and slides just fine. I bought a brand new ($250) cupholder for the front because it was a weakness on this car. The front seats work perfectly with adjustment and moving back and forth, no grinding or rubbing. The headliner is sagging, it was a southern car, so the humidity got the best of it. , know the owner of an interior restoration place and he would do the original headliner redone for $400, just an option if you wanted to do that as well. The sunroof cover fabric is still perfect. The sunroof has some struggle opening when I first bought it, moved slow. I haven't opened it since because I've always kept the sunroof closed. The sunroof does not leak. Heated steering wheel works perfect, heated seats work perfect, the massaging seats still work as well. A/C and heater still work on the car perfectly. All the lights still work in the interior, no burnt bulbs and no weird electrical problems. The two original footrest cushions for the rear seats are still in good condition and come with the car. Rear seats look like they've never been sat in. Rear heated seats work great too.
Exterior: There are a few dents on the trunk lid, looks like from hail. That was how it was when I bought it. I could get that removed as well with negotiation, I know a dent guy. There is no rust anywhere on the car or underneath the car. It was a southern car from Tennessee. I drove down there with my trailer and trailered it back to Chicago. It has never seen snow, and never seen a winter. I garage kept it the entire winter last year and never came out until spring. There is a couple scratches on the rear right door, repairable. Other than that, no scratches.
Mechanical:Transmission shifts great. Steptronic shifts great. Passenger side mirror does adjust down when in reverse. No radiator problems whatsoever, no leaks from radiator or anything. No leaky oil pan, I got the valve cover gaskets replaced because I had a leak earlier in the spring of 2016 in my garage, but that fixed that problem. Alternator is in great shape, no problems. I bought two new batteries. No steering wheel shimmy whatsoever at any speeds. Replaced the mass air flow sensors when I purchased the car as well. Air temperature sensor is bad, thus causing the service engine soon light to be on; because I already passed emissions before the light came on, and the air temperature sensor is strictly for emissions and does not effect engine or vehicle performance, i saw no urgency to get it replaced.
Misc.:Purchased a brand new Michelin Tire and Original Rim for the spare tire for this car, when I purchased it, it did not come with a spare. I replaced the DVD Mark III Navigation Drive in the trunk.
