Description

What Im offering is my 1961 LeSabre flat top more door sedan. This is a mild custom driver quality plus. The driveline is the original 364 cu. in. Nailhead It has been tuned up. the carb freshened. and VC gaskets. it runs out smooth and strong. The Hydromatic works fine as well. The Brake system has been updated with new linings and cylinders. and stop great. New radial tires with Port-a-walls wrapped around painted steelies with bullet caps and logs. It has manual steering and brakes. The body is incredible solid condition. It has had rust repaired in the trunk floor. and the front drivers floor pan has been replaced. the entire floor has been cleaned and coated with POR-15. All trim was removed prior to the new paint and reinstalled with nearly all new clips. It was nosed and decked. then painted with basecoat/clearcoat. The color is OE Laguna Blue (Jewel Blue on Chevies) The top is pearl white with medium flake and Ole Skool Lace treatment. the paint is 6 mos. old and has been water sanded and buffed twice since. Its not riddler award material. but pretty sweet for a driver. The bumpers are straight with driver quality chrome. The interior is OE rock stock except for the addition of aftermarket seat covers. All interior tinwork has been refinished. The dash pad has been recovered. its marginal in appearance. but better than what was there to start with. I just haven't found an OE replacement yet. A pioneer CD system carries the tunes. All the glass is nice except the windshield has a little wiper rash. The window felts and rubbers are very good for its age. The door gaskets are intact and a 6 out of 10. I have new trunk rubber (will be installed before pick up) The lights all work. I obtained this car from an estate where the previous owner began the restoration but was unable to finish it. I have had this car for 3yrs and built it to be a fun driver. and it is! The ole girl draws a crowd wherever I cruise. Its not perfect. and like any old car there will be things that wear out or tear up as you drive it. cause that's what old cars do. But I have tried to address anything that didn't work or appeared to be worn out. BIDDING. ESERVE.
