Description

1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 Tribute Car. This car started life as a 1970 Skylark - Through countless, etailed hours and great expense it is what you see here, n incredible, ward Winning, ro Touring GSX Frame Off Restoration. If you'd rather not spend the 140,000.00 for an Original Stage 1 GSX here is your chance to own the next best thing … and in most eyes even the better thing. This car will win just as many awards and get the same attention all while leaving an Original GSX in its dust.
In its original Saturn Yellow GM paint and attention to original GSX details this Buick is a true show stopper. Like i said, ts a frame off rotisserie restoration and nothing was left untouched, he was returned to much better than factory fresh showroom condition. Every gap and weld is exceptional and the paint is urethane base coat clear, et sanded and polished to a mirror finish. Custom Billet 17" wheels help give the car that Pro Touring aggressive look and the tires are Nitto Extreme ZR Series P245 45 ZR 17 in front and P275 40 ZR17 in the rears. The wider rear tires really gives it an aggressive stance and aids with putting the power down to the pavement.
Under the hood resides a concours, estored looking 455 with Stage 1 performance option decals - in real life this is a Buick 430 cubic inch block punched out to a 501 putting 592 HP and 637 foot pounds of twist down to the asphalt. Speed Performance Inc dyno sheets are on hand to validate its claimed power ( over 30,000 was invested in this stunning motor ) - Also on board is an automatic exhaust bypass system, ith the flip of a switch the exhaust will open to run with straight pipes … this is an absolute killer system … photo's show the design below. The real beauty is that even with this massive power the GSX has no issues putting it all down to the pavement … it has a full Professional Series Hotchkis suspension including front and rear sway bars and upper control arms. In the rear it is equipped with upper Hotchkis trailing arms, ear stabilizer bar, irmer front and rear shocks, ear firm ride springs and rear Hotchkis lower control arm assemblies.
The brakes are factory power assisted front disc brakes and SSBC Force 10 Extreme Brake Kit in the rear. Variable ratio power steering helps keep the steering solid and true. Backing up the 501 motor is an over restored and built GM TH400 3 speed automatic with a shift kit. The hydramatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels through a 12 bolt posi traction rear end with 4:11 gears and a high performance axle. The under carriage of the car is spotless, ruly a work of art and incredible detail.
Interior is fresh vinyl bucket seats and new door panels with flawless chrome trim. Full length console adds a sense of completeness and a factory optioned Rallye steering wheel looks right at home. The interior is absolutely stunning in every way … just as the rest of the car is. There is a touch of real carbon fiber in subtle paces just to add more muscle and class.
The sale will include a disc professionally highlighting the build process - and all paperwork from the motor build. There are nice muscle cars out there for sale, ut this one is in a class all on its own … North of 150,000.00 was invested in this incredible GSX - Inspections Welcomed. Guys, hank you for the overwhelming texts and emails on the car … very kind. Yes it is truly a very special car and it has a very reasonable reserve … Please no trades, ust a straight purchase. I goofed up when creating the auction and didn't out a reserve in but it has one … and like i said, ts very reasonable. I had many requests for photo's under the car, have attached a few, orry for poor quality. This car has been driven less than 100 miles since its restoration, ostly trailered to car shows and has been NEVER raced - It has won every show its been in.
