Description

1987 Buick Regal Turbo-T WE4 with only 16. 00 original miles. This rare car is 1 of only 1547 made by Buick and is definitely the dark horse of the Turbo Regal stable. The WE4 was a custom order option and what some consider a factory lightweight Turbo Regal. It came the looks of a Grand National but was put together with aluminum bumper mounts and wheels making it a bit lighter. The car also came without a spoiler and power two tone seats. What makes this bird even more rare is it's factory installed CF5 Astro-roof which was ordered on only a handful of WE4's. Do some research on the 1987 Buick Turbo-T WE4 and you will find a tremendous amount of information. The car also comes with a cover. its original manuals. window sticker. build sheet. maintenance records. lots of model specific literature. nbsp;a 1:18 scale WE4 replica. nbsp;and finally it's Astro-roof tool in the event the motor fails. This particular car was purchased from a Corvette collector that had bought it from the original owner and kept the vehicle stored for almost 15 years. I purchased the car just over a year ago and had it taken to the renowned Turbo Buick mechanics and tuners at KDK Performance in Orlando FL. The car was completely gone through by Kevin and his staff and was given a complete tune-up to include; new plugs. wires. fluids. and modern AC refrigerant. KDK also repaired the tired and soft power brake booster. a common concern with these vehicles. Now that I was certain the car was running in proper tune. I decided that the old horse needed some new life in the order of performance. My goal was to add some street-able performance to the car but keep it as original as possible so that whoever owned the car after me could take it back to 100% original if desired. The following bolt-ons were installed and tuned by KDK to include; Razor Alky injection. 60 lb injectors. Turbo Tweak 5. 7 alky chip. Walbro hi-pressure fuel pump and hot wire kit. billet adjustable fuel pressure regulator. hi-pressure factory looking turbo and intercooler hoses. factory ported elbow (The unproved original will also be included). Kirban 3" down pipe. GN1 4" single shot exhaust. Kirban extra pressure rear springs. pillar mounted boost gauge (Taped not drilled on). Nitto 275/60/15 rear drag radials. Scanmaster data unit (not permanently mounted). and finally K&N 8" cone filter. All of the original parts will also come with the car in the event a future owner wants to take it back to factory original. The end result after adding these performance parts is a vehicle with ample street performance making it as fun and exciting as most of the vehicles you will find on the road today. KDK dialed in the car to produce 23 lbs of boost at wide open throttle with 0 degrees of knock. This is all being done on a 100% stock long block. turbo and intercooler. To be clear. this car has never been to the track or raced. The two previous owners were both elderly and enjoyed the car for what it is. I simply wanted to give the car a bit more excitement without going overboard. Other than what I have listed. the car is 100% original and near mint right down to the paint and under carriage. Since I have owned the car. it has never seen water and I have only used dry wash for cleaning and detailing. Now that all of the good stuff is out of the way. lets talk about the bad. The power antenna cable has snapped leaving the antenna in the up position. The headliner is beginning to sag (find me an original Turbo Regal headliner that isn't). The headliner material on the Astro-roof is starting to pull off (common for CF5 cars). lastly the Asrtro-roof seal has a couple spots of deterioration on the outside of the seal. I couldn't tell you if the seal leaks because again the car has not seen water in my possession however it appears to be just on the surface of the seal. I know how rare this car is especially considering its condition. That being said. Im not swinging for the moon and what I want to get out of the car is not at all unreasonable. Please don't bother to offer low ball prices on the car because they won't be accepted. Please don't bother asking me to share the reserve price because I won't. If you are serious about the car and you have a question that hasn't been answered. nbsp;don't hesitate to give me a call at 315-558-0937. Thanks for looking at this beautiful machine and good luck bidding.
