Description

You are bidding on my newly finished. all metal. over the top. 55 Chevy BelAir 2 door hardtop. I started the build with a chassis designed and built by NASCAR chassis engineer Tony Hancock of Rollover Racing. After all the fabrication work was complete. it was sent to be powder coated before being reassembled. For suspension we used Fatman front and rear subs with polished stainless upper and lower control arms up front. Then Qa1 Chrome coil over 3 way adjustable shocks on all four corners. The 450hp LS2 engine in the 55 has received the best that Street & Performance offers. The thump alone will draw you and tell you it was done right. Up front is a fully polished Billet Specialty Tru Track system. The 4L60E transmission was also setup with the best Street & Performance has to offer. Stopping power comes from Wilwood. 13” drilled & slotted rotors on all 4 corners. Six piston calipers up front and 4 piston calipers in the rear. The Belair rides on Billet Specialty Dagger wheels with 18x8 in font and 20x10 in the rear. I had all the wheels Show Shine done on the back of the wheels. Tires are Kuhmo Deinter Thunder’s with 245x40zr18 in front and 255x45zr20 in the rear. The rear-end is a Chevy 12 bolt posi with a Fatman 4 link and panhard bar. again setup by Tony Hancock of Rollover Racing. A fully polished drive shaft from the Driveshaft Shop takes the power to the posi rear. The 55 was taken to a Chassis Dyno and fully tuned. She pulled 410 hp at the rear wheels. The Kooks exhaust headers and fully polished mufflers are matched with a custom made again fully polished 3'" exhaust that runs all the way to the rear allows the awesome sound. A Rick’s fully polished. stainless gas tank finishes off the bottom. Jeff Shores of Southern Comfort Customs and Interiors. is responsible for the flawless paint and body. Every square inch of the hardtop. including the backsides of the fenders and inner fender wells have been finished and rubbed to perfection. The perfectly gapped body itself as received many one off custom touches. like grafted 57 Chevy backup lights customized to be front turn signals. the smoothie bumper being pulled back 2". and a fold down license plate by Rock Valley. The front fender lower seam was welded smooth along with hood cowl. The hood itself has been shaved and decked with a custom made hood support under it that opens with the help of Billet hood hinges. Jeff is also responsible for the amazing one off. full engine cover that goes all the way to the completely smoothed. reworked firewall and body supports. The door handles were shaved and they open with help of electric door opener. The gas door has been removed and is relocated to behind the electric rear taillight provide by Rock Valley. All new stainless & all new chrome and tinted glass add the finishing touches to this awesome 55 BelAir. All of the door and trunk latches have be changed to Bear Claw to give a really clean look down through the door and trunk with the best hold on the market today. again with Billet hinges handling the opening.
