Everyone knows that taking weight out is the same as putting horsepower in, o starting with a compact car like the Nova makes a lot of sense. This 1973 Nova SS offers a recent frame-off restoration, great-running 350 cubic inch V8, hich makes good power without adding a lot of weight in the nose, o handling remains crisp, nd a 4-speed gearbox for a bit of extra fun. It's a cool cruise night brawler that can more than hold its own at the stop light grand prix. For some reason, hese Novas seem to look absolutely smashing in traditional muscle car livery, o they thoughtfully added a steel cowl-induction hood and SS stripes during the build. It shows good gaps and panel alignment, hich is typical of these sturdy little cars, nd even Novas that have been used in more than their share of street skirmishes seem to hold together better than most cars of the era. The paint is well done, ith white SS stripes covering the hood and trunk lid, nd who doesn't love Laguna Blue with white stripes? With those stripes, here's no need to keep a low profile, o this car proudly wears '350' badges on the front fenders, blacked-out SS grille, nd a few SS badges as a kind of warning to the unwise. Everything else, rom the chrome bumpers to the stainless trim around the wheels arches, as standard Nova equipment, aking for a rather well-rounded package. A vast majority of Novas in 1973 were equipped with the standard bench seat, ut buckets certainly fit and look right. The black upholstery is new, o they seats look crisp and well-definied, nd offer a bit of extra bolstering to help in the handling department. A Hurst shifter complete with cue ball knob lives atop the 4-speed transmission, hich tells you that this Nova is all business. The standard Nova dash and gauge cluster doesn't tell you much about what's going on under the hood, nd is limited to just a speedometer and fuel level gauge, o they added a tach on the steering column. This one also carries factory A/C, here's a padded center armrest with cup holders, nd a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo system provides the entertainment, o it's ready to cruise. The very clean trunk has no secrets, roving that this is a well-finished car. Power comes from a 350 cubic inch V8 that's a tidy installation in the Nova's engine bay. An Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley 4-barrel make for a great induction team, hile a few chrome dress-up parts make it sparkle. Power steering and brakes are welcome upgrades and the fresh dual exhaust system cackles. All of the A/C components are all new as it recently went through a complete rebuild, o when it's hot outside you can stay cool inside. The floors were replaced during the restoration and the rest of the chassis is quite clean, nd includes the aforementioned 4-speed plus lots of new hardware, o this car is ready to cruise this summer with no added work on your part. This Nova SS rides a set of practically brand new 18-inch Ridler wheels sporting 235/40ZR18 skins up front and 255/35ZR18's putting the power to the pavement. This Nova SS has received a second lease on life with a hot small block under the hood and a beautifully done cosmetic restoration. Given the looks and handling of these great cars, t's no wonder they remain extremely popular today. Call now!
