The frame was painted. the front clip was replaced with fiberglass pieces. and the hood replaced with a fiberglass lift-off with an L88 style hood scoop. This car was built to run. and run it does. Under the hood. the 350 cubic inch V8 has been bored . 030 over to 355 cid. A set of Edelbrock performer aluminum heads has been added. as well as a chrome Edelbrock intake manifold. a gear-driven timing set. a ground and polished crank. and much more. It makes between 350-400 horsepower. and it sounds the part. The fantastic powerplant has just 3. 00 miles on it since it was completed. so you should be good for many more years of trouble free driving. The four-speed M21 manual transmission makes this car a hoot to drive. On the inside. the original blue interior remains largely untouched. There are two switches that have been added to the dashboard. One for some undercar lighting for car shows (currently disabled). and one for a line lock. Engage the line lock and you can spin the rear tires at will through the Moser rear end with 3. 73 gears – perfect for preparing for the drag strip. The bodywork and paint on this car do show flaws. but it’s 30 years old.
