Description

1969 Chevelle SS 396. 4 Speed. Original Monaco Orange color (only available on SS 396). Non-matching numbers. currently has a lumpy 396 that decodes as 71-72. Car starts. runs. and drives. but runs rough. Needs either a new carb or a carb rebuild seems just crappy gas. The throwout bearing in the clutch is making some noise. and as you can see. not really ready for the road. although you could tune and drive while you restore with some work. Somebody started doing the bodywork on the car and stopped. There were patch panels welded to the front fenders that need finished off. The patches to the quarter panels were not done right and need to be taken off and done correctly or you can use what they have. They put the patches on top of the old quarter panels. Has some rust in the trunk. although the holes are not bad and could be patched. There is one good size rust hole in the drivers floor (about the size of a baseball right in front of driver's seat). but the rest of the floor is very solid. The rockers and doors are very solid. as is the frame. The deck lid has some rust around the latch. The hood has some runs on the bottom and will could be replaced or used. 249 for a new one. There is some rust on the roof (vinyl top car). which I showed in one pic. There is some filler at the top of the rear window. but the roof looks solid from the inside looking at that area (no headliner). All in all. a great start to a real deal SS big block 4 speed Chevelle with the desirable factory orange paint code. if you have any questions. message me. No real rust where the top was from what I can see. in the pictures that is part of the vinyl top. not rust on the pillers. Body plate is there. one rivet was removed where they painted under it many moons ago the other has never been removed and you can see how the sealer lines up perfect with the edge. it is in fact the factory plate and matches the cars equipment. "72" Paint Code. along with the B L Front Disc Breaks . Power Steering. 12bolt. 4 speed. Bench seat blk top. True SS CarI can end the auction at anytime. $500 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT Car is SOLD AS IS. not warranty and or exchanges/refunds. This car is in better shape than most. some are painted over buckets. this at least you can see for the most part. I did not do any of the work on the car besides remove the seats to clean and get the pictures for the original color. They were very few of the Monaco Orange cars produced from what I can gather. do you homework and thank you for looking. needs a home to complete it. I bought it now with all my other projects and moving its a pain in the A$$. THANK YOU ALL FOR PLACING OFFERS - 10K OR LESS ISN'T GOING TO GET IT BOUGHT. REGARDLESS OF THE WORK NEEDED ITS THE CAR IT IS. REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY - CAR IS PRICED FAIR TO BEGIN WITH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. 101ST AIRBORNE
