1970 Chevrolet El Camino “ORANGE CRUSH” an original southern California black plated Los Angles built car. Over $90k spent on this Killer multiple award winning car. 502 Cu Inch motor with a BDS 671 blower and only 2200 miles since completed. from front to back and top to bottom this car has undergone everything. It has won every show including best Chevy. always driven to the show and not trailered. A wonderful Sunday car that attracts attention where ever it goes. The body of the car was completely disassembled down to the skeleton of the car. there was no major rust repair needed being that the car was an original southern California car and stored in a garage for many years. all of the metal is perfect. laser straight sides and all sheet metal. the gaps are perfect and better than when the car left the factory. doors shut perfect and alignment throughout the car is perfect. Orange Crush was painted using the finest PPG paint and clear available. the color is a candy pearl orange that just pops when the sun hits it. the SS stripes are laid under the 5 coats of PPG clear. the door jams and interior is also painted and carries the same excellent quality throughout. The custom fiberglass speaker boxes in the lower kick panels and behind the seat were also painted to match the car. Cowl hood and the cut outs for the blower are metal and excellent workmanship to look like the factory seams. Hundreds of hours to get the paint. body and prep work to this caliber. Chrome and stainless accessories are all new and excellent. all new rubber weather stripping. window channels. and misc. rubber trim is new. All glass was new. The car sits on Centerlines with painted to match centers. the tires are new. The car has an air ride system that has individual ride height for each corner. there are two 5 gallon tanks. two large compressors and all of the air ride components in the storage compartment in the front of the bed that is not visible. the interior has two gauges that monitor the pressure of each air bag. these gauges as well as all the gauges have been hand painted to match the exterior color. The interior is finished in high quality Black English leather. the seating surface has the Bentley diamond pattern to it and is stitched and piped in orange. door panels. dash cap. glove box door. ash tray and windshield pillars are all leather. Headliner is perfect as well as the custom carpets. All gauges are painted to match and the car carries multiple gauges on the interior as well as on the outer cowl and hood. The sound system in the car is also an award winning sound system that has won many awards on its own. Hertz speakers. 3 8 inch subs and Top of the line Kenwood head unit with Ipod. Bluetooth. cd. P3. Pandora. The custom subwoofer enclosure behind the seats carries the amplifiers. and three 8 subwoofers Sound system is over $20k I guarantee it is one of the best sounding cars you have ever heard. The custom leather and suede wrapped steering wheel carries a tilt wheel. the steering column is covered in leather. car has power steering and a quick release to remove the steering wheel. this locks for safety. The normal horn on the steering wheel are air horns but there is a button under the dash that un leashes the huge train horns. these horns are ground shaking when hit. they use the pressure that is stored inside the tanks for the air bag system and can be heard for miles. Interior of the cab has been dyna matted for sound. Windows are tight with no ratting and operate smooth and fast. Racing harnesses for driver and passenger. The motor is a 502 . originally a 454 that has been bored and stroked to a 502 with Ross pistons-Rods and has a 8 to 1 compression. The blower is a BDS 671 with a 38 pulley it makes little boost and was not intended to drag race or thrash on. it was more for the coolness of the motor and sound and to enjoy and drive reliable to shows and other events. changing the to a smaller blower pulley will increase the power dramatically. dual double pumper 750 Holley’s sit atop of the intake there is 2200 miles on the motor and trans. the trans is a 700R with a 2. 92 gear ration and a 10 bolt using a posi choke. Custom headers feed a one of stainless dual exhaust that is a four inch stainless. the car features an electronic diverter that allows you to open the exhaust from off of the headers and bypass the mufflers using an switch under the dash. the switch allows you to open a little or fully open all done by electric . Opened it is nasty sounding but closed you here more of the blower than exhaust. Dual battery system with electronic cut off in motor compartment. Mattison large radiator out of aluminum with double fans. MSD ignition. adjustable Boost retard from interior cabin. Oil cooler and trans cooler are hidden behind the grill. The car is set up too run on 91 octane although I have always used octane boost as well.
