1997 30th Anniversary SS Camaro Convertible

This is a beautiful. genuine 1997 30th Anniversary SS Camaro Convertible that was purchased new from Classic Chevrolet in Grand Rapids. Michigan. I am the 3rd owner. I purchased this car with 18K miles on the odometer 13 years ago. This car is in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically with only a few flaws. This car has been used summers only and has never been raced. tracked. nbsp;autocrossed. or abused in any way. The car is loaded (see photos of original sticker and SLP sticker) and everything works correctly. It has its' original unmodified 350 LT1 engine (310 hp) with a 6 speed manual transmission and the drive train is also original. The exterior is the original Arctic White with Hugger Orange stripes. The paint and body are in excellent condition. the only flaw being the stone chips on the front end from 74K miles of use. There is no evidence on any prior paint work. body work. or collision damage. The car is rust free. The power top functions perfectly and while not as bright white as when new it is in great condition inside and out with no tears. There is a small crack in the lens on the lower driving light on the passenger side. Inside. the white leather seats will need to be replaced to make this a show car as there is noticeable discoloration from wear on the drivers seat (see photo) and there is some very minor cracking on the upper part of the rear seat. The rest of the interior is in excellent condition including the dash pad. instrument panel. nbsp;console. door panels. and carpet. The trunk and engine compartment are in excellent condition as well. This car comes with both sets of original keys. extensive paperwork. and all SLP materials that were delivered with the car including the SS cover and floor mats. It comes with the original SS 16" ZR1 style white wheels wearing the original BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires along with a set of aftermarket 17" American Racing Torque Thrust 2 wheels with 4 brand new BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2 tires with zero miles. The following items were installed during my ownership to improve handling and stance: Eibach Springs (lowers 1" in front. 1. 5" in rear) KYB Adjustable shocks BMR hugger orange strut tower brace BMR hugger orange subframe connectors (welded) Power Slot brake rotorsI have kept ALL original parts and they will be included in the sale. This car is 1 out of 979 30th Anniversary SS Camaros. only 251 were convertibles. and only 136 of these came with 6 speeds. Every available SLP option was equipped on this car at a total cost of $6593 (Bilstein shocks were a coupe only option). I am not sure how many of the 136 convertibles came with all SLP options but its safe to say this is a very rare car!The most recent Haggerty evaluation lists the average value of this car at $17056. a car in #2 condition was $22. 00 and #3 condition was $16. 00. I would consider this car a 2- in its' current condition. with new leather seat covers. stone chip repair. and a new top this car could easily be a 2+. According to Haggerty the value of this car has risen over 20% in the past year. This is a rare future collectible Camaro that can be driven and enjoyed as it appreciates or with minimal effort refreshed into a show quality car. Clear MI title.
