MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible. This is the true classic Chevy’s enthusiast’s car, a Spyder Monza! Finished in a brilliant Ermine white paint job shows extremely well with only few minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers fit nicely and compliment the body. All chrome and stainless is either new or re-plated to show standards.

The Chevrolet Corvair is a compact automobile manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet for model years 1960–1969 over two generations. As the only American-designed, mass produced passenger car to feature a rear mounted air-cooled engine, the Corvair range included a two-door coupe, convertible, four-door sedan, and four-door station wagon body styles, as well as passenger van, commercial van, and pickup truck variants. The Corvair competed with imported cars such as the original Volkswagen Beetle, as well as the Falcon, Plymouth, Studebaker Lark and the Rambler American. In Spring of 1962 Chevrolet really committed itself to the sporty image they had created for the Corvair by finally introducing a Convertible version and then offering a high performance 150 hp turbocharged “Spyder” option for Monza coupes and convertibles, making the Corvair the second production automobile to come with a turbocharger as a factory option.

Inside, the original front and rear black seats have been refurbished like new and all look great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels and dashboard have also been tended to and show extremely well, a testament to the level of work and expense that has been put into this car. The engine and trunk bays are extremely clean and show well with a high level of detail. Paint and body are exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find. The overall quality of this restoration is remarkable!

This beautifully restored Spyder features a recently rebuilt date correct (YR) 164 cid flat six cylinder turbo mated to a rebuilt 4 speed manual transmission, engine also features Otto valve covers and oil pan, Flowmaster exhaust, new brakes, shocks, coils and more. Also upgraded with new sway bar links, gas tank, clutch and throw out bearing, this exceptional Corvair goes down the road with ease. Topping off the look are a set of 15 inch polished American racing style Libres alloy wheels with 195/50R15s on all four corners.

These Chevy Corvairs are becoming increasingly hard to find and this one has to be one of the finest examples available for sale today! GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

Current mileage on the odometer shows 78,390 it is sold as is and is mileage exempt. The car is being sold on a clean & clear title.
