Now, onto the bad parts of the car.Battery is old, and will probably need to be replaced soon, but works fine for now.Exhaust leak causes ticking noise on cold days (goes away when warm)Driver seat is starting to show its age.Paint should be fixed
Car history:I brought the car with fire damage to the drive fender and door.Engine was removed, main cross-car harness and engine harness was replaced.Engine, Trans, Cooling,Fuel, Brake, A/C, ABS, and SIR systems wereentirelyreplaced and/or gone through. The list of new parts on this car is way too long.Nothing is charged, melted, or smelly.
If not for the paint, you would never know there was fire damage.
Originalhood needed to be replaced afterreceivingsome unrelated damage - it was replaced with a caprice hood, and now it has a hoodornament.
If you are unfamiliar with the 96 SS, you should be aware of the fading odometer. It is a common problem with this year. This car is no different.
Google "96 impala odometer fading"- its the first thing that come up.
Car has about 130,000 on it.As of now I don't know the exact mileage.I drive this car about 4 times a year, it stays low.
