Description

1977 El Camino SS 350 Tribute!!! RUST FREE NV DESERT CLASSIC!!!Thanks for your interestThis El Camino has been a blast to own. Every time I take it out it gets tons of compliments and thumbs up from other drivers. it's a real head turner for sure. The car really looks awesome. The SS350 paint scheme and SS grille look great. The wide tires and raked stance are old school cool. This is the last of an era. El Caminos were downsized in 1978. This is the last of the large El Camino's. Conservative mods and nice upgrades make this a really great driver:350 V8 stock 700R4 Overdrive TransNew Summit Racing Distributor and Performance CoilNew BrakesTorque Converter Lockout on separate switchHuge Rear TiresSkinny front TiresLowered Front. Really Low!!!Raised Rear. Factory Air ShocksManual ChokeNew Single Exhaust Flowmaster MufflerCenterline WheelsChrome Valve CoversI have enjoyed owning this car. It runs great around town and on the highway. The exhaust has a great sound. solid and deep without being overly loud. The transmission has been upgraded to a 700R4. 4 speed with overdrive. to replace the TH350 3 speed trans that was standard. I had a brand new Summit Racing HEI Distributor with performance coil professionally installed when I bought the car. The engine just purrs with the new distributor. The brakes are fresh and stop great. Also the original thermostat based carb choke has been upgraded to manual choke with a nice pull lever. Simple and effective. Pump the gas. pull out the choke. fire it up. let it idle for a minute and push in the choke. In today's world it may be hard to imagine something manual as being an upgrade. but on a mild custom rod like this. it really is. Aside from minor cosmetics this El Camino is exceptional and a 100% Rust Free Nevada Desert Car. The door rubbers were pulled when the car was painted and will need replacing. The bench seat is incorrect. but comfortable. I have a proper 77 El Camino Classic Bench seat that will need to be re-upholstered that you can have as well if you would like. I was going to buy a pair of SS Strato Buckets for it but I just got used to the bench seat that is in it. The passenger front fender. ahead of the wheel well. had a basketball accidentally bounce into it and crack the paint. It happened before I bought it. so. I just touched it up and it hasn't really bothered me. but my paint guy said he could fix it for a couple hundred bucks. not a big deal. The tires are ok but they are not new and the side walls on the rear tires are little scraped up . the glass is in great shape and the car is overall probably an ez 7 out of 10. this is not a show car to you would be afraid to drive and want to hide in a garage under a cover. but one to be driven and enjoyed. the best kind. nicely done. turnkey. imple and fun. with a low reserve!Great Looks. Great Drive-Ability. and an American Icon. The road and imagination are yours. this El Camino SS 350 will take your there and keep you in style. Where do you want to go next. Yellowstone. Disney. or maybe just to the local Steak and Shake on cruise-in night. no matter what or where people will notice when you pull in driving this. count on it. Nothing like getting a smile and a thumbs up at a red light or going inside to to pay for your gas to find admirers all smiles waiting to ask questions when you come out. This is exactly what owning a cool car is about. people love to look and get involved. It has been a pleasure to own. and I look forward to passing it on. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!! Low Realistic Reserve!!! If you would like to talk about the car feel free to send your phone number and I will call you right away. and don't hesitate to send as many questions as you may have.
