1968 Chevrolet C20 Pickup Original Paint 4.8L 292 Vintage Unrestored Barn Find

This is a 1968 Chevrolet C20 fleetside full bed 2WD pickup in original condition. I am forced to sell my farm truck. as we are moving out of state. I purchased this great truck from a retired Iowa farmer who exclaimed “you’re taking my right arm!” when I drove it out of his driveway J This truck still has the original rubber tires and hub caps! The spare “mudder” has never been on the truck. The paint is original except the bed was coated with something long ago. The truck runs strong with the original 292 inline 6 cylinder. 4spd which I brought back to full power and smoothness by replacing the distributor. harmonic balancer. rebuilding the carb. and new plugs/wires. I drove it at 65mph from Des Moines to Kansas City (where the truck is currently). yet only use it locally on our 10 acres mainly. The truck runs solid and straight while the suspension needs to be brought up to speed with the engine power. nbsp; and gone through. The doors shut nice and tight with a light push. Tailgate works great. and everything works except the original radio. I tried to get good photos and show the rust spots on the rockers. nbsp; and a couple small holes on the bed. It looked to me like the truck was zeibarted back in the day from the inside of the door. It has 57k original miles. which the farmer (Arlen) assured me are very close but not exact because the speedo cable had to be replaced at one point. The interior has a cover and a crack in the drivers side; the dash is in great shape with NO CRACKS. I love this truck and hope it goes to a good home. The reserve is fair for this barn find!
