1961 Corvair Lakewood 700 Wagon Beach Cruiser Restoration Project Rat Rod Patina

1961 Corvair (700) Lakewood Wagon. Rare 1 year car. This is another I just couldn't say no to but now see I have way too many projects. Dual carb 6 cyl air cooled motor runs great. 3 speed Trans shifts smooth. New tires and front shocks installed.
As you can see the body is not rusted other than surface rust from baking in the desert sun.
This has a rare gas fueled heater which was an option for this yea, I have not tested that.It also has the optional AM radio.
The drivers front floor has been repaired with fiberglass and feels soli, there is a hole in drivers side rear floor that needs a patch. All doors open and shut nicely.
The rubber flex brake lines have been replaced but the master cyl is leaking and needs to be replaced.
Seats need recovered and the headliner is gone. Door panels need work also.
All glass is good
Check the pic, not trying to hide anything. Any questions....just ask. Car was last registered in 1984 .
The good is it runs and drives and with some brake work could be a daily driver. fix as you drive sort of thing. Nice rare old car.
