Description

Please read the entire description before contacting me. I'm relisting this car due to the high bidder on the last auction being a kid playing on the computer. The second chance bidder had already bought another car when I contacted him so I decided to relist the car when I got time. I've also got the car for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it was to sell locally. This is a Real 1972 Chevelle SS. Not a clone. The car was wrecked in the mid 1990's (between 1996 and 98 I believe) The owner had the car towed to his home garage and that's where I bought it. The owner passed away so I didn't get to talk to him. The neighbors said that he used to start it from time to time. He had a remote starter on the car when I bought it but I have never attempted to start it. It has oil and antifreeze in it. The car shows 39. 21 miles on the speedometer but that is probably 139. 21. The car was wrecked in the front and will need some frame work on it. I'm no body man or mechanic so look at the pictures good. I have a lot of pictures of the car and can take more if needed. I found some paperwork in the glove box where it was sold here in town at a car lot in 1974 as a 72 SS Chevelle. I tracked the guy down that bought it in 1974 and talked to him. He bought the car in 1974 from a local car dealer. He thinks he was the 2nd owner and that the car originally came out of Cleveland. TN. He kept the car from 1974 to 1994 then sold it to another guy here in town. The car was originally Red with White stripes but the guy that bought it in 1994 repainted it Red with Black Stripes. The guy who bought it in 1994 sold it to another guy here in town who sold it in 1996 to the family that I bought it from. I've got all the names of the people that owned it in the past and all of there phone numbers except one. The guy that owned it for 20 years (1974-1994) pulled the original motor out in 1978 and replaced it with a more powerful motor. He still has the block and he thinks the heads and intake in his barn. He said that he would take $500 for it if somebody was interested in it. The paperwork from 1974 along with the previous owners info will be included with the car. I have a Clear Title to the car along with a title from 1996 that will go with the car. Besides the wreck damage the car has some rust on it. along with several dings and dents. The trunk lid is rusty inside and is bowed some (somebody closed it on something and bowed it out) and the trunk has rust in the floor with a few small holes in it. The windshield is cracked also. The car also has a rear window defroster. I don't know if that is rare or not but I thought I would mention it. The insides have mildew? on them and need a good cleaning. I'll let the new owner do that. I think some of them will clean up OK but you'll have to replace some of the seat covers. carpet and headliner. I've also got a 1970 Chevrolet Malibu parts car that the previous owner had bought for parts. If you buy this car I'll give you the option of buying the parts car for $600. 00. The grill that is in the trunk pictures of the 72 SS doesn't go with it either. Its a 1970 grill for the parts car. It goes with the parts car if you buy it. If the winner of this Auction wants to buy the parts car for $600 I can list it on Ebay as a Buy It Now Auction so they can have it for parts also. If they don't want it I'll sell it later on Ebay. The passenger side door is a little hard to open where it was wrecked but it will open. The drivers side door will only open up about a foot because it rubs the front fender. I think the car would make a nice SS Chevelle once its restored. I'd like to have some pictures of it once its done. I'm sure I left some things out so please email me with any Questions after you read the ad first. Please be Serious. No Games. If you have less than 5 positive feedback. please contact me before Bidding or I'll have no other choice but to cancel your Bid. I am not new to Ebay so scammers please don't waste my time and your time. Please have your funds together before bidding. I'll take CASH or a bank wire transfer for payment only. Thanks and Good Luck car is Sold AS IS. On Mar-23-15 at 18:09:29 PDT. seller added the following information:I uploaded over 40 pictures of the parts car. the build sheet for the 72 SS and some more pictures of the front end damage to the Internet.
