You are looking at a 1981 Chevrolet Malibu Classic 2 Door Coupe. This is a super solid car that has a very strong 400 small block with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The exterior of the Malibu is very presentable and has been sprayed in an Aircraft Quality low gloss paint to give the car that 'Hot Rod' appearance. It is a very straight and Super Solid car with no real rust issues to speak of with exception of one small spot on the right rear floor about 6"x6" that has had a repair patch installed. All of the exterior chrome and stainless trim is in very good shape and gives the car a nice finished look to it. The car has a decent Burgundy Cloth Interior that has a set of Monte Carlo Bucket Seats with Center Console. Seats. Dash and Door panels are in good shape. however it does need a headliner. At one time the car had a 4-speed transmission in it and was converted to a floor shift but has been converted back to a factory column shift. While certainly not any kind of show winning interior. it is a very decent looking and comfortable driving interior. The Mailbu has had quite a bit of mechanical refurbishment over the last couple of years to make it into the strong yet reliable daily driver that you see here. It runs and drives great without any funny nuances to deal with. It is a very well sorted automobile!The engine is a fresh . 030 over balanced 9. 6-1 Compression Small Block 400 with 993 Heads. Comp Cams 262H Cam. Roller Rockers. nbsp;Comp Cam Magnum Double Roller Timing Set. nbsp;Weiand Intake with a Q-Jet Carb. and a set of Flow Tech Headers with a 2-1/2 in dual exhaust. Engine has a mild. yet very distinct rumble that is not obtrusive. It is a very healthy sounding and performing engine that is driven every day!! The car has a Turbo Hydramatic 350 Transmission that is basically a stock unit that shifts good and performs as it should. The Malibu has Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes on it and function as they should. All of the brakes and suspension on the car are in very good shape. They have been kept up. maintained. and repaired as necessary in the cars day to day function as a 'DRIVER'. This was originally an Air Conditioned car. however the compressor and lines under the hood are not with the car. The Malibu has a NICE set of 15x7 inch Rally Wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TA's that have a little better than 1/2 tread left on them. This is a GREAT car that was built with Performance and Reliability in mind that could be not only be used as a commuter. but also a mild Hot Rod to do your local Cruise Nights in. This Malibu is a car that has been adult built and driven!! It has had a lot of time and money put into it to make it the clean. safe. reliable and strong performing car that it is.
