Description

You are bidding on 1999 Chevrolet K2500 7. 4 L 4x4 Crew cab with Western Hauler package. I bought this truck in 2004 I drove this truck up until last year. This is a big truck with lots of horsepower. I have separated this ad by categories. Mileage & Fuel economy: 174. 00 with scheduled maintenance; I bought this truck with 64. 00. This truck gets 15 mpg on the highway and 12 around town. I would not hesitate driving my truck across country. There is a small tank though. range is about 300 miles. I use only premium gasoline with a splash of Seafoam. Overall appearance: This is an older style chili red pickup that is a full crew cab. I bought it with the Western hauler package already installed. Western Hauler package is a wooden trim around the doors and front dash. This truck has bug guard on the hood and rain trim around the doors. The rear windows are factory tint. Last fall I replaced the turn signal unit because the last one wouldn’t signal on turns. I replaced the stereo because of a blown channel last year on the OEM stereo. I replaced same with all four speakers and a Pioneer stereo. The box was replaced by me two years ago; the last box had rust around the wheel wells. The replacement box is an Alabama box. I did sandblast and paint the frame for the third time. I have painted over the frame every two years. I used Raptor spray. It’s time for a repaint. There is a plastic bed liner in the box. The tail gate has been repainted on the bottom and is functional. Tail gate is the least attractive feature on the truck. I also replaced the passenger side doors two years ago with a replacement cab corner. The paint was professionally applied. I did have rock chip material sprayed on the bottom of all the doors and new box. Front bumper is a full wrap replacement that will repel (Tested) medium to large (Deer sized) animals and has two large tow hooks. The rear bumper is a steel manufactured heavy duty with a hole for a hitch. Interior; the cab is a full Crew Cab with cloth seats and carpet. I put seat covers on all the seat which are included (Worn). The seats and fabric are in good solid condition. The dash has mounting holes that was used for GPS. I did replace the driver’s door handle last month. The carpet is worn with some blemishes from use but serviceable. Air conditioner works but needs to be recharged. not much use here. The heater works well when the big block heats up. There are two engine heaters for severe weather locations; one on the block an d the second on the oil pan. I have used both here. I replaced the windshield two years ago and it’s still clear. There is a console above the driver for storage and garage door opener. I have installed an Astro Start remote starter about 13 years ago. This was and is a fail proof starter. The manual is included. The original owner’s manual is included. Drive train: This is a 454 big block with a flawless transmission. I have changed the u-joints several times. The transmission has its own cooler with an added spin off filter. I did replace the OEM fan with a Summit electric fan which adds HP. I changed the transmission filter (B2) with every oil change. about 3000-5000 miles. After 100. 00 miles I started use synthetic oil. I also had a qt of Lucas oil added. I have never had an issue with the drive train. I have added a K&N air filter which is washable. I did replace both wheel bearings last March (they started to go). This truck does not burn any oil. I have replaced the spark plugs twice along with cap and rotor. Four wheel drive is flawless. this model has the handle on the floor. I have never had issue with same. This truck locks up in 4H and 4L. In combination with Bighorn tires this truck is a beast in bad weather. This is a dual exhaust vehicle. I replaced the fuel pump at 102. 00 miles. Brakes and Tires: this is the third set of brakes that have been put on. Mounted on are 4 Maxxis Bighorn tires with 80-90% left. These are an aggressive mud and snow tires. I do have an additional set of 4 rims with center caps that are included with the purchase. Bighorn tires will throw mud or snow. You will be buying a solid used truck with plenty of power; I ran this truck for 8 years (Two years stored) and did not have a major issue or major work done on this truck. I mostly did the maintenance and some modification. Price and Negotiation: my price is $7500. Or best offer. If you plan on negotiating a best offer. I ask that you please send me a reasonable offer.
