Description

This Mercedes-Benz Cosworth 2.3-16 has been well maintained, nd it shows. I purchased the car from it's previous owner, ho had it for 14 years. He purchased it on 3/9/01 from his brother who purchased it on 2/15/01. At the time the car had 91,740 miles on it. He then babied and garaged it while driving it here and there. I've drove it on a 200 mile road trip and enjoyed the car on the weekends. This car has never seen water in at least 14 years, nd is always covered in the garage when not driven. I have never had a single issue with the car. It starts every time and drives like a Mercedes-Benz. The steering and suspension are tight, nd the engine sounds healthy. There are zero engine or mechanical lights on.
This is the kind of car people want to talk to you about. It receives all the attention you could ask for. All the enthusiasts love it. I have an attention to detail, nd an extreme passion for cars.I want to pass this gem on to it's new respectable owner that will enjoy and take care of it.
Pros:- Mechanically sound- Brand new battery- Paint looks and feels amazing- Interior is crisp and clean- Good Leather- Drives straight as an arrow down the road- Transmission shifts up and down as it should, ncluding low gears- AC blows cold, eat blows hot- Cruise control works- Sunroof tilts and opens flawlessly with zero leaks- Power seats, indows- Good thread on tires
Cons:- Typical minor scratches and knicks that have been well taken care of to prevent future issues. (documented below)- Missing AC control knob, wanted to replace it with OEM, ut am having a hard time finding.- Clock does not work on dash ( believe its an internal battery)- Radio is not working (i've read it has an internal battery as well that needs to be replaced) I never cared to listen to the radio when the car itself was the thrill factor.- The odometer just stopped working. I have researched the information on how to fix this issue, ut would like to leave this task to the new owner. I have a CLEAN CARFAX to prove everything.- Not the original spare rim in trunk
Knicks and scratches: (all clearly visible in photos)- There is a small pea size mark on the door that has been touched up- Slight scratch under rear passenger tail light touched up- Small mark touched up on drivers rear quarter touched up- Small rock chip on left corner fender (visible in photo)- Silicone around rear antenna
I have nothing to hide, 've been as honest as I can be about the car. The CARFAX has 16 detailed records available and everything looks great, ero issues. This is a clean, ell maintained, 987 Mecerdes-Benz Cosworth 2.3-16. You are more than welcome to come check out the car in person, ut there will be absolutely zero joy drives. The car is also for sale locally and on other sites. I have the right to pull the auction at any time.
I can't wait to meet it's new owner.
