Description

Absolutely original and uncorrupted, and one family owned from New Hampshire, his rare to find 1959 Ford Ranch wagon is a charming example of the statement," they're only original once."

Representing an era, ecades past of the family vacation, hese were the iconic wagon which traversed the nations highways on the family's quest to visit and experience America's vast and rich heritage, ts national parks, eaches, nd mountains. The Ranch Wagons were versatile, pacious with its fold down second seat, nd fun. A close examination of the enclosed pictures illustrate some of the original bumper stickers and badges, nbsp;exhibited on the bumpers and glass, here this Ranch Wagon has traveled over the last 56 years. Very rich, nd certainly fun.

Truly a time stamp, ts original paint and patina tell its own story. Certainly not perfect with faded paint, t maintains its very nice original interior in bamboo color trim, ome minor rust issues, nbsp;and its very original driveline. Floors, verall sheet metal, rame, ocker panels, ody mounts doors, ear hatch, pare tire well, re very solid. Some very minor perforation has occurred years ago at the left and right dog legs, nd a small section to the lower left front fender. The left andright rear quarters have somesurface rust only showing at their lower edges, ut are very solid. Recently re-commissioned, ts a wonderful and fun driver which garners a phenomenal amount of attention when on the road.

a 292 cubic inch V8 YBlock, ith an advertised 200+ h/p, oupled to a three speed manual transmission, t starts and runs great. Recent servicing and upgrades included new carpeting, nbsp;new fuel tank, ew exhaust, ew wheel cylinders and brake fluid flush, rake shoes, alve adjustment with new valve cover gaskets, nbsp;new radiator hoses, elts and clamps, oolant flush, ew 160'F thermostat, ew 16 psi pressure cap, nbsp;new fuel and wiper vacuum pump, ew spark plugs, ll oils replaced, safety checked, omplete chassis lubrication, uffed and polished with Carnauba wax, nbsp;and much more. Listed herein with the pictures is the VIN decoding, ith more specific build information.

All the lighting and gauges work as originally designed, lass and stainless steel trim is in very nice condition with only one minor crack to the left rear roll up window. An additonal illuminated amp meter and oil pressure gauge have been discreetly mounted to the lower center dash for engine monitoring. Oil pressure runs at 25- 30 psi at idle, nd at approximately 45-50 psi when cruising.

The wheels are steel 15 inch, raced with three inch whitewall bias ply tires, nd original (rare and expensive) 1957 Cadillac hubcaps providing for a very retro and cool appearance.

In conclusion, hese wagons represent the real "sleepers" in the hot rod world, oon and now becoming very desireable, nd terrific investments. Furthermore, t is very rare to find them, uch less for sale. For all intents and purposes,in the opinion of this writer, nd now many collectors, nbsp;this Ranch Wagon should be kept in its original condition, llustrating a rich history, o which every scratch, ade, patina, r wear exemplifies a space in time over its 56 year history. It is simply charming as it is, o be loved and maintained in the coming years.

Finally, n conclusion, he Ranch Wagon will be sold as is, here is, ith no warranty stated or implied. It is strongly recommended personal inspection, r by a "qualified" representative of your choosing be performed prior to purchase. Simply stated, ts not what you expect, ut what you inspect. I do not want to disappoint. Inspection as a condition of sale, fter auction end will not be permitted. Additionally, he right to end the auction early will be implemented, iventhe Ranch Wagon is for sale locally and on other international venues, r should a reasonableoffer be tendered and accepted, rior to auction end.

I have to laugh at many of the "experts" trying to re-define or correct what I have listed in the ad herein. One individual claims the Ranch Wagon's paint is not original, aving both not seen it, or placed a bid on it. This individualrationale is that there is some overspray evident on some areas, ot realizing of course that in the decade of the sixties and seventies, hen you wished to "touch up" a scratch, ou went to your local Scherba's or Western Auto parts store and purchased an aerosol can of paint that somewhat matched your cars finish. It was an indelicate process to say the least, nd never really matched the original finish. To be very clear to all the "doubters" out there, hat you see in some of the areas of finish is simply that..... touch up. The Ranch Wagons paint is absolutely original as it was applied on its production, llustrating some patina, cratches, ings, nd some rust. Each "mark" tells its own story, eft to the imaginations of those who observe them of how and under whatcircumstances they occurred. Have fun, nd let your imaginations run amok.... Its part of what we do.Thanks. Chris.
