Description

Excellent condition 2001 BMW M5. This car has that “looks new” look from 10 feet away after a wash.

Exterior – the paint really looks great. I consider it to be in excellent condition with the following two minor flaws. There is a surface scratch on the driver’s side side-view mirror and a 3mm ding near the rear license plate where the paint is not broken. Possibly a small stone hit it at some time? It really isn't that noticeable, ut I wanted to mention it. I inherited both of these two flaws. There are no scrapes, ents, roken paint or any sign of rust anywhere.

Interior – the black leather looks great and there are no rips, ears or flaws of any kind. The dash looks near-new and has no cracks at all. The stereo sounds good and the NAV works fine but it shows it age technology-wise as its from 2001, f course. I use a cassette adapter to play music through my iPhone and that works great. There is a 6 CD Changer in the trunk but it works sometimes and then it does not? I have added LED lighting to all interior lights, ncluding the trunk and rear license plate. Also, he headlights are now LED withonly the daytime running lights maintainingthe original halogen bulbs. There is some "pixelation" in the milage display, ut it is minor.

Under the Hood – the already great sounding M5 engine has been enhance with an AFE cold air intake. The AFE looks great and supposedly has added a few HP to the stock 400hp? Please note that I have kept the original airbox and tubing so it 30 minutes you can take it back to stock. The engine compartment itself is in excellent condition.

The brakes stop strongly and there are no squeals at all. I have no indication that I’d have to worry about the brakes for many miles to come. 4 new Goodyear Eagle F1’s were installed 5K miles ago. Also, purchased 4 brand new OEM wheels at that time. The 2 rears are brand new OEM wheels (not replicas) and the 2 fronts are OEM refurbs from OriginalWheels, com. They are not detectable as not bring brand new.

I purchased this car in February of 2013 and I absolutely love it and have put a lot of $ into it. I am reluctantly listing it for sale only because I’m looking to buy another collector car and I have to sell one to buy one.

*** minor accident reported in March 2006 at around 28K miles. There is absolutely no sign of this accident and it has never come up as an issue during my ownership. It was 9.5 years ago and I can only assume it was very minor? The car runs and handles great. It's a very solid car - no rattles or creaks.

I have all receipts for all of the work that I have put into this M5. Work/enhancements include:

· AFE Cold Air Intake

· LED lighting - headlights, nterior lights, icense plate and trunk lights.

· Emergency spare purchased (BMW originally provided a can of air)

· Originally failed CT emissions - $1,600 for gaskets/labor to remedy

· New water pump & thermostat

· 2 new Bosch OEM Mass Air Flow Sensors

· 4 new OEM wheels (2 brand new and 2 OEM refurbs)

· 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires 5K miles ago.

N New OEM Passenger rear tail lamp installed

Thanks
