Description

1969 Triumph Spitfire MkIII

Convertible

We are selling off all of my husbandsTriumphs here in the next few weeks - if this is not the one you want, tay tuned forhis 66 Spit, 7 Spit or the80 Spit. All coming out of the barn in the coming weeks -Our loss, our project. The 1980 Spit is already listed under my husbands account 'morefromlovemytriumph'.

Up for auction is a 1969 Triumph Spitfire Mk3.He's owned the car since 2000. He purchased the car in the Pittsburgh area and drove it home in its present condition. The car was driven right into the barn and has been there ever since. Will make someone a nice winter project. PA title is clear (odometer may not be accurate).

We were able topull it out of the barn over the weekend. THE ENGINE DOES TURN OVER - we didn't try to get it running because of the old gas, ut when we jumped it, t turned over! Right rear wheel is locked up and the rear tires are not holding any air. There are some light dings and scratches, ut the body is pretty straight. Some paint is peeling up near the trunk lid exposing the metal but no apparent holes. Bottom of the passenger door is a bit rough - I can't get the door unlocked to check any further. The front apron under the bumper is the worst part of the car. Interior isn't bad, ad a new carpet set installed years ago. Drivers seat needs some TLC, heck pictures - I don't know what the PO started to do here. Engine compartment looks really good for sitting in thebarn, expected to find a critters nest but there was nothing there. See pictures for a better look at what the car is - remember it has been in the barn for nearly 15 years now, o it is dusty and dirty with light surface rust in some areas. The poor paint job really makes it look worse.

You are always welcome to make arrangements and come and inspect it for yourself. Car spent sometime overseas in England and was shipped home by a US Air Force officer(see license plate and window sticker). Royal blue painted over original yellow is checkered and dull.

I've had several questions about the location of the car - Home, A 15747 is a real village in Indiana County, estern PA. We are about 1.5 hours north of Pittsburgh. About twenty miles from any of the following; Indiana, ittanning or Punxsutawney. Car is available for inspection, lease make arrangements first.

There is no warranty or guarantee implied here. The car is 46 years old and I am not a certified mechanic.

Car is sold in the'as is' condition.

I would like the car picked up as soon as possible - My barn is coming down and no longer will have dry storage. Car will have to be paid in full at that time. I am asking for a deposit only to keep people honest.
