Description

Ultra Motorsports is very pleased to offer this extraordinary find. If you are a "4-4-2" fanatic, his may be the HOLY GRAIL of cars that you have only heard stories about. Be advised, his vehicle is special! This is the vehicle that a collector or enthusiast pays a premium to own. "It's only original once". This statement describes this vehicle very well. 1968 was the beginning for the Hurst/Olds. In 1968, ale Smith of Oldsmobile Engineering, eorge Hurst, he legendary performance innovator Jack "Doc" Watson, nd Demmer Engineering formed a dream team to create a Mustang killer. The result of this powerhouse collaboration was only 515 vehicles. That's right, NLY 515 Hurst/Olds produced in 1968. Of those 515, nly 153 cars had A/C. THIS IS A TRUE W46 HURST/OLDS WITH A/C. This vehicle is a virtual time capsule. You could go your entire life and NEVER see a Hurst/Olds that is this ORIGINAL and this SOLID. As far as we can tell, his vehicle has NEVER been apart and has been stored and driven in dry conditions for its entire life. Aside from one partial and somewhat lousy paintjob, his vehicle is untouched. The paint is the original Peruvian Silver color code but is fair at best. Our guess is that given the originality, he car was 'too nice" to restore. Car people will understand that statement. The car runs and drives but could use a tune up. Now for the good. Lots of good... This car appears to be nearly 100% original and showing well. The trim pieces and chrome are ORIGINAL and lightly showing age. The interior is ORIGINAL and VERY presentable. The dash, auges, onsole, nd DUAL GATE SHIFTER are ORIGINAL and in very good condition. The seat belts are ORIGINAL. The glass is ORIGINAL and in excellent condition. The headliner is ORIGINAL and in excellent condition. EVEN the weatherstripping appears to be original and is in excellent condition. UNDERNEATH THIS CAR IS EQUALLY AS IMPRESSIVE. THERE IS NO ROT ANYWHERE! The frame, loors, heel wells, nd trunk are perfect. It appears as though NOTHING has been apart under the car. All fuel lines, lectrical, ushings, tc...ORIGINAL and excellent! Had it not been for the paintjob, his car would be what a restorer would classify as a "Benchmark" car. Now on to the meat and potatoes. The ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION and 455 ENGINE have been verified. These cars get faked from time to time, o hold onto your hats for the rest of the authentication. The original "C" heads, riginal #398662 intake, riginal #7028251 carb, riginal #1111469 distributor, riginal 4-core radiator, riginal S5 positraction, riginal dual-snorkel air cleaner and under bumper scoops, riginal red inner fenders, riginal Hurst/Olds by Doc Watson glove box emblem. The list goes on. Give us a call. We did our homework on this very special car. This car had three owners in its lifetime as far as we can tell. We have very detailed paperwork to authenticate its whereabouts. Some of the better pedigree paperwork included is: THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, RIGINAL BROADCAST TICKET, RIGINAL PROTECT-O-PLATE with first owner stamped. This car is #281 BUILT BY OLDSMOBILE AND #273 CONVERTED BY DEMMER MANUFACTURING with a build date of June 17, 968. The condition of this car is almost unbelievable after all these years. Perhaps the next owner is a sucker for originality and will want it left alone, r perhaps the next owner wants to have a 100 point car with perfect bones and a story. That will be determined by whomever jumps at the chance to own this remarkable piece of performance muscle car history. Please call our office (260) 969-5666 or Rich (260) 704-0234 if you would like additional photos, ideo, r information. Video Skype is available. Trades welcome. Private showings and third party inspections welcome. This car is the real deal. Please DO NOT ask me if I will take $20k cash for an original 1968 Hurst/Olds.
