Description

For sale is a 1972 Datsun 240z. It has a great running non-numbers matching L24 with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor set-up with an automatic. The car is a true survivor that sat in a Kansas carport for over 20-years. The car shows 86,000 miles on the odometer.

Body and Paint: It was an original yellow Z but has been the subject of bodywork and amateur paint over the years (please see detailed pictures). The car is solid but is not rust free. The passenger side floor pan was replaced at some point in the past. I have included floor pan pictures. The hood of the car does not sit right– a scoop was welded into the car to accommodate the aftermarket carb set-up. See in the pictures for older bodywork. Someone at some point began grinding paint on the roof - and then stopped.

Engine: The engine runs but you will not drive this car home. The carb is an Eldelbrock 4-barrel on an otherwise stock set-up. The auto tranny shifts well. It has been slowly resurrected from its carport slumber and fires right up and drives but I would suggest that this car be trailered home.

Paperwork: This is a bill of sale only sale. I will provide a bill of sale along with copies of my purchase from the previous owner and a Kansas State Patrol report clearing the car for a title.

This is a decent running survivor example of a 1972 Datsun 240Z. The cars are quickly becoming hard to find. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and logistics. The car is sold as is with no warranty and a bill of sale only will be provided. Please email me any questions. I am happy to provide specific pictures. Winning bidder is required to make a $500 deposit within 48-hours of end of auction with balance due within 7-days. Buyer handles shipping costs and logistics. I can assist with loading the vehicle. It is easily able to be driven onto a trailer/truck.
