Description

Howdy All. /p>***************Relisting due to non-paying bidder***************Offered for sale is my 1969 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible. It was badged as an R/T by a previous owner. yet they left the 500 trim package in place. Anyhow the car looks and runs good. The body is pretty straight but not perfect. The 383 fires right up. It's pretty stock. I added a Holly 650 right when I bought it. Otherwise I haven't done much to the engine other than keep it tuned up and change the oil. The automatic convertible top is in very good shape. The only trouble area being the seperation at the bottom of the glass as pictured. I'm told this is an easy fix for a good top guy. The interior is good. There are a couple of tears on the driver seat but they're small and a new application of gorilla tape every 6 months has kept it in check for the four years that I've owned the car. This car is in pretty good shape. It had an older restoration and an older engine rebuild some years before I bought it. It will make a fine driver and would serve as an excellent example for restoration. Coppertone has long been my favorite Mopar color! The worst thing about this car is the undercarriage. It's fine as a driver. But if you were to plan a full restoration the car would need a new trunk pan and there is a small section under the driver pedals that has been patched over. There is corrosion on the one section of frame rail as pictured. I have way too many projects and this lovely Coronet was spending much too much time sitting in the garage for the past year. I pulled it out a couple of months ago. Replaced the fuel and oil. Took it down for a professional tuneup and assesment. I had some brand spanking new BFGoodrich Radial T/As put on it. I've been driving it a bit for the past couple of months and have now decided to sell it. You may think I'm crazy but I'm really into a 1968 AMC Rebel SST that I just recently bought. That's my next project. So. in plenty of time to enjoy this spring and summer. I am offering this beautiful Coronet convertible for sale. Please email if you have any questions. My name is Andrew.
