Description

This 1998 Dakota comes with the stock 318 ci magnum v8 and a brand new PCM installed. I had the transmission rebuilt a couple years ago (syncro rings were messing up) and while that was being done, I had a new catalytic converter installed because I found that the old one had been banged up. Also I had the rear end gear replaced and had the housing resealed. The truck has a fiberglass tonneau cover that matches the truck but i don't usually keep it on it so it's in the garage right now, it's starting to peal a bit but works fine. There's no latch on it but I never needed one so that's that.I sanded and primed the hood after the stock paint started fading badly and wound up liking the way it looked so I kept it. I replaced the windshield which had rock chips and one long crack in it. Also I replaced and passenger side door glass and installed aftermarket headlights since the old ones were fogging badly. There's a new headlight switch in it that I installed after the old headlights started flickering while I was driving around, I haven't had a problem since. The CD player is locked in "protect" mode but it's not broken, I just don't know how to get it out of this setting. The air conditioner needs freon but works. The truck still has a really strong motor and pulls surprisingly hard if needed, especially in the lower gears. I had a 160* thermostat put in her so even on 100* days, consistent heavy use, or just sitting in traffic with no wind going over the radiator, she will never overheat or get winded and lose power. I do love driving her but she just isn't needed anymore since I drive my SUV 99% of the time. She's not gorgeous and not overly spacious as she's a 2 seater, but she gets the job done and would be great as a daily driver or work truck... I know whoever buys her will thoroughly enjoy her.
