Description

Up for auction is my haul truck...Bought about 4 years ago with 150k on it. Pulled the steel 11' bed off, installed a 7' wide 8' long aluminium bed (meant for a single wheel truck as this is a cab/chassis with a narrow rear end) Built a frame to hold the 140 ish gal gravity fed aux tank, toolbox & Cowtown sleeper. Installed a Gear Vendor overdrive.Drops your rpms drastically. With the 4.11 rear end 2000 rpm gave 60MPH in 6th gear. OD gives you 78MPH @ 2000 rpm. I've been across the country with it at least a dozen times & to Alaska. 190K in 4 years, been a great truck. Have since gone back to a regular job with our good Utah economy. Truck needs a windshield & tires. I.maintained the truck for reliability. Complete rear end, front hubs, arms ect...converted to single driveshaft & u joints as needed. Put a reman dodge trans in a few years ago & it was replaced again a year later under warranty, 6th went out pulling a 5th wheel from CT. Hauled in 5th + OD from Ohio. Also has a second Gear Vendor that I also put in about 2 years ago. Truck doesn't burn oil but it leaks like all high mileage Cummins'. 3 piece exhaust manifold, stock turbo with cheapie "chip" New radiator last year, Never hot up hill with full load. Cruis, windows, locks work, AC cold most of time but every now & then shuts down? Has an Onan 2800 genset with remote fob, Fuel cell is in pictured toolbox (NOT IN ALL PICS BUT IS ON THERE NOW). 110 ac power in cab for included small AC, which fits behind the front seat if it's pulled forward, or use a small 1500 W heater in winter. WAAAY better than running your engine all night. Also a 30 amp RV style outlet by rear of bed that can power your trailer if need be! The older Cowtown sleeper with the way the fuel is routed & single exit may not meet current DOT standards but the 74" x 30" mattress is very comfortable. I pulled trailers for years & never went through a single scale. What you do is your business but replacing the sleeper is about $4K ...Includes 20K Reese 5th wheel hitch.
If I continued to pull with this truck I'd go through the top & front end of the motor, & as mentioned windshield & tires & consider myself good for another few hundred thousand miles.
I'm in So Utah 2 hrs N of Las Vegas NV, ??? My phone # is available for the asking, Pictures all taken today, old camera won't change date
Rig is for sale locally & could end at any time, NO RESERVE! If ya want it, better put a bid on it!
Just to be clear- Engine runs fine, makes good power, leaks mostly through timing cover,a quart every couple thousand miles...I'd drive it cross country tomorrow with new tires, I'd reseal the motor & do the head while it's apart...or put in a newer motor...My starting price is what you'd pay for the sleeper & the Gear Vendor ...
Truck was originally used in Georgia, by a California based company, & then it went there, & now Utah(desert) NO RUST, dash cracked like them all.
