Description

I bought this car in 2007 when it had about 88. 00 miles on it. I drove it for a couple years and then decided to make quite a few changes to it as you will see below. This car has LOTS of extras and goodies. It has a crate 302 motor (about 5. 00 miles) with a 4bbl Edelbrock carb. aluminum radiator. 4-wheel disc brakes. custom rims. 17-inch wheels. stiff racing suspension. pony interior. rally pack. wooden steering wheel. great stereo system (6 speakers in the salon and a woofer in the trunk). electric convertible top. rear split glass window. I'll be up front about everything that is wrong with this car. which won't take long. It's 50 years old. so there are a few scratches here & there. The only distracting defect is on the hood where some paint is chipping off (you can see that in one of the pictures below). The gas gauge and water temperature gauge do not read accurately & the horn is not hooked up. It does not run hot and doesn't leak fluids Other than that. she's good. My wife and I drove it up the California coast on highway 1 a couple years ago & she ran great the whole way without a single problem. Still runs just as great today! So. if it's so great. why am I selling it? Good question! I've found the past couple years. other than the trip up the coast of California. I haven't had so much time to use the car so it has mostly sat idle in the garage. I take it out every so often during the warmer months. but if it has gotten 500 miles on it since our trip to California back in 2013. I'd be surprised. Maybe that's because I'm getting older or maybe it's because I'm busy with work . not sure what the root cause is. but I know it has nothing to do with the car itself. It goes like a bat out of hell if that's what you're into and looks and sounds great just cruising. which nowadays is more my speed. Of course. it's nice to look at sitting in the garage. but a car like this should really be driven to be appreciated and I don't seem to have enough time for that at the moment. I guess it's somebody else's turn to be the custodian of this car for a while.
