Description

Up for sale is my 1969 Ford Galaxie Fastback coupe. It is in overall good condition. with a straight body no dents or other parking lot rash. The paint is original in fair condition It could use a mopping. There are a few small spots of rust around the rear wheels. all of it is low. not up in the quarter panel. just a few bubbles no huge rotted out areas. That is it for the rust. The interior needs a little more work. The headliner is out of it. The old one was full of holes and the last owner thought it would be a good idea to wire the dome light directly to the battery. So it is rewired and correctly wired to the courtesy light circuit. I put Dynamatt in the roof to help with noise and heat. The car comes with a new headliner it will just need to be installed. All the bows and trim for the headliner will come with the car. The passenger side door panel will need to be re done the vinyl will need replaced. I cut a new backerboard for then passenger side door panel and the steel top cap for the door panel will come with the car. The drivers side door panel is complete in fair condition. Now for the things I did to the car. The transmission was rebuilt at my local AMMCO. as well as resealing thr rear axels and the rear brakes are rebuilt. The floor pan was in great condition. one spot of rust on the passenger side foot well. but I repaired it. by welding new metal in. The whole floor pan was coated in POR 15 and Dynamtt installed. Dynamatt was also put in the trunk. I put a new carpet in it last summer. but left the drivers window down a little and it got wet. A new carpet will come with the car. I installed a Painless wiring fuse panel and fixed the wiring. The door lights and the sail plane lights now work when the door is opened. althogh they are not hooked up because the door panels ore off. But wires are there and new door and sailplane lights will come with the car. I replaced the speedometer with a NOS (new old stock) unit. Here is a list of all the NOS parts I installed. The fuel gauge. wiper switch. heater fan. side marker light. front running lights. door jamb courtesy light switches. It will come with the following NOS parts. side marker lenses. rear tail light lenses. neutral safety switch. and wiper park mechanism. It has new Llyod floor mats with the Galaxie 500 logo on them. And I replaced the old AM radio and clock delete with VDO gauges. that include oil pressure. water temp. volt meter and OAT (outside air temp) gauges. The engine is a 351 Windsor. not a 100% sure if it is numbers matching. but according to the VIN breakdown. it came with a 351W and FMX transmission. The engine runs good. does not burn oil. It has an Edlebrock intake and I put a new Holley caburator on it. Also has a new alternator and voltage regulator and belts. It has AC but does not work. I did not look into it much. All the componets are there. It will need a condensor. the one that is in there is pulverized and probably need a new dryer as well. I don't know the condition of the evaporator. The heater works good and I replaced the wiper motor with a rebuilt one. It could probably use shocks and front springs but they are not to bad yet. Also I have a complete set of manuals. service and wire diagrams and illustrated parts catalog on CD. The lower rear window trim is off but comes with the car. I was having a hard time getting it to fit right. the last owner glued it on with RTV. Any questions or if you want a specific picture shoot me an email. or if you want to come by and see it for yourself and drive it let me know.
