This is a very rare car. You never see X Code cars for sale. Even though it was a 390 2v car. these are rarer than the S code 390 4v cars because there were only 189 made in 1968. The engine is basically a 390 GT engine with a 2v intake manifold. But I have an original S code 4V intake that will go with the car. This car was originally Candy Apple Red with a white C stripe. Beautiful combination. The great thing about this car is that it comes with a 390 engine. and the automatic transmission. The body on the car is very straight and solid. The car has already has new full quarter panels on both sides and they were installed correctly. The doors and trunk lid line up great to the new quarter panels. The car has also had a brand new one piece full floor installed and it looks great. The car also has a brand new trunk lid. and the hood. fenders. and doors. are very solid originals. The roof and all other body panels are very straight and very smooth. The car is in an excellent place to pick-up and finish the restoration. Drivetrain: 390 Engine is setting in the engine bay. Automatic transmission mated to the engine. Body: The body of this car is very nice. The frame rails are nice and solid front and rear. The car has brand new full quarters on both sides. a new full one piece floor. and a new trunk lids. The doors. fenders. and hood are very nice and solid originals. The trunk floor pans are solid. The torque boxes front and rear are very nice. The driver side torque box has a couple holes in it that could be repaired without replacing the entire box. The roof panel is nice and straight. Overall this body is in excellent condition. You will not be spending time cutting out rust. The body is very solid and straight. Can’t say that enough. Interior: The car does come with some interior pieces. The front and back seats are all there. Some of the rear interior panels are in place. There are some small interior trim pieces that go with the car as well as some of the larger items. The gauges are in place and the car also has an original radio in place.
