Description

I have 2 other trucks of similar vintage and don't need this one. Runs and drives as is but needs some things in the later future. Clear title in my name for over 2 years (not a dealer or flipper)New tires and front brakes and rotors about 1500 miles ago. New rear shoes then. too. NO broken glass or windshield. Windshield rubber does need replaced (heat cracks)The truck has no rust issues except a small 1/3 inch hole in the passenger cab corner (pictured)Likely has the original engine (still has a 1973 emissions sticker on the left valve cover)Temperature and fuel gauges work. Has idiot light for amps and oil pressure. Engine runs good but sometimes has a valve lifter click. audible but not drowning out. Does not leak oil unless you're going on a long drive with it (100 miles or more)Accelerator pump leaks at carburetor but still runs ok and won't fumigate you or stall out (sometimes has high idle)Clutch likes to grab on take off at a light or standstill. Transmission is 3 on the tree. Needs bodywork by the rear fenders (dings. not rust)Has manual disc brakes which means pushing hard on the pedal. Would recommend a power master/brake booster setup (about $135-$150 at Autozone or NAPA)Horn does not work (horn pad missing and the steering wheel is cracked badly)Power steering. Ford trucks from 1967-79 are notorious leakers and this one is no exception. My others do too. LOL. Left door panel is missing. Repros available from most Ford parts vendors. Head board is straight---not pushed out towards cab. Tailgate is very salvagable. not pushed out or much dented. Sander or stripper should do the trick. Steering is reasonably tight. no wandering all over the road. Power steering is touchy though--typical of Fords. This truck is for sale locally and posting will be removed if sold. However I'm fed up with lowballers. flippers and those with unrealistic expectations that a truck in this price range should be free of any defects. Thats not the real world. This would be good for any Ford lover or a high school age person willing to learn the value of work and be rewarded in the end. I love old Ford trucks!!
