Description

ok, hat we have here is one of very few left 1963 2 door sedans that is a true R car, ot a clone or a tribute. This caris 52 years old has been a race car most of its life. A nostalgic SS car since the 9

0,s as far as I can tell. Kind of a trailer find as that's where it has been roughly since 2005[when long time owner died]. it was used for a few shows and a tribute race in Atlanta in memorial of Jim, riven by his wife.1 of 11 on the galaxieregistry [don't know how many R sedans were buil, but numbers range from 47-to less than 100]I,m sure some one will tell me but as of now the ford people I have spoke to average the 47 number.

the car has a 427 2 4 barrel engine in it with non factory heads and intake, t is now an auto as it was changed over for his wife to drive. The original 4 speed is long gone. it has a 9" rear and ladder bars [but none of the original frame was cut.] car has very good quality fiberglass doors[windows go up and down]tear drop hood, nd bolt on fiberglass trunk glass bumpers and frt mounts. all looks like the real sheet metal it is good quality as I said and is over 20 yrs old . car is the original color.. it has 4 wheel disc brakes [because of the speeds it ran] this car was a staple in the Midwest and nmra ass in Nostalgia Super Stock, nd from what I gather Jim was one of the founding fathers .the car is called "Precious Metal" punch it in there's a lot on it.

there is a lot on the computer on this car and the association. But the car itself it physically sound with a little rust in lower trunk drop downs[not bad for a 50 plus year old car] floors are good .but do need to be fixed where shifter for jerico was installed way back when.[I have found the 4 speed hump for car] the car does need some neatening up as it is a car built in the 80-90,s or run the way it is. I was told engine was freshened before Jim died, I did start it,[it started right up with bat and fuel actually] no knocks or smoke. But it has been sitting for 10yrs so I would freshen it .[I will see if I can put video on here]

this is not a restored show car this is a car that was driven/raced for 34,000 milesthan became a full time racer, the front windshield and side door windows are Lexan [again good quality [look like glass] the rear/ sideglass are factory.i have many pictures on car and it is on my lift so I can take more. I also am getting some of the stock rearsuspension parts [springs and things] to bring car back to stock suspension[which can go with car] headliner still good as is dash pad and interior panels. lights work. I'm sure I'm forgetting things and Ill add as people tell me more. pictures of floors show no patch panels all mounting areas perfectframe perfect. car has been stored most of it,s life.

due to health issues I am putting it up for sale[I have 2 cars up for sale,]. most of the info here is from people who know the car,and the internet. I did speak to Jim Paquet, the transmission builder and he told me when and what was done to unit. the Paquets run a very competitive Thunderbolt in NHRA SS classes]

for sale locally, o this can end at anytime.thanks

ALL OF THE LETTERING ON CAR ARE STICKERS,IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE IT

this is not a show car, ut a real good solid original R car. this is the way it was parked 10 yrs ag, like I said what you see is all there [other than drop down]pictures of frame and mounts show the real car, othing to hide....ask for any other picts. I cant [or don't know how] to put video up of car running. I can email it to you. like I said started right up built 30lbs of pressure. let it run a minute or to clean out the pipes.[lol]

I found some magazines in car, put picts of 1 article
