Description

OK all you Fast and Loud fans here is the one you have been waiting for. Strait out of the Idaho potato fields. sprung from the back of farmer John’s dilapidated equipment shed this old girl rises from the ashes like a phoenix. Dressed mostly in the patina’d skin she wore on her birthday and sporting very few clicks on the clock to boot. I submit her for your admiration and respect to those who appreciate the fine things Henry Ford’s kin have accomplished in his absence. Some are haters of the “they earned it look” but I for one love the finish as I am sure you do too or you wouldn’t be here looking. VIDEO (Paste to Address Bar) http://youtu. be/sIuxEfLz5Hs I don’t know everything about this sweet rides past but here is what I have learned to this point. I bought her mostly finished and enjoyed the heck out of putting a little polish to this jewel from yesteryear. The previous owner was an aircraft mechanic from here in Boise Idaho who loved the truck but needed family room and cash more than the hand me down truck. He had received it from its original owner. a family member. (uncle I believe) who had driven it for years and due to a transmission issue parked it in the late 70s to early 80s. Along comes our meticulous mechanic friend and he fixes the C6 trans after receiving the gift. He spent the next few years driving it and rebuilding the 360 power plant. rear end. brakes. exhaust. lowering the truck. and a lot of the other cool stuff you see before you. Up to this point the old “Jessie”. the name my son chose for her. had only managed a mere reading of just over 70k. That’s when I came into the picture and. though the previous owner had planned to paint it. I saw the amazing mostly original patina (bed was repainted at some point) and decided a few coats of PPG gloss would seal what Mother Nature had worked for years to perfect on Jessie. Needless to say she is a joy. Everywhere I go I get thumbs up and people stopping to admire her. She looks great. drives great. sounds great. stops perfectly and steers strait and solid down the road. The motor starts perfectly every time and she never even runs slightly hot on the most blistering of days. There are no rattles. squeaks or leaks that I have found. The doors shut and open like new and the glass is all excellent. Every light and switch seems to work great and even the cargo light shines like a lighthouse. All the chrome is nice and though never re chromed shines well. Now I don’t want to make her out to be a show truck or a 10 second GO truck but the girl is a great cruiser and really needs nothing. OK maybe a stereo. it does not work but it looks so good where it’s at I just couldn’t take it out. The new wheels are 20 x 10 rear and 18 x 8 front from show wheels and look great with the Toyo Proxis tires and the DGM lowering kit and shocks. The lowering kit alone was 1k plus install and the wheel and tire combo was nearly 3 grand. This truck has no rust I can see. I have not scoped every nook and cranny of its underbelly but everywhere the eye can behold is solid and strait. The new carpet and upholstery look amazing and get oohs and awes from gawkers who venture a look beyond her patina laden skin. In the end your either a patina guy or you’re not. Some people just get it or they don’t. You do. or I think you would have stopped reading a long time ago. So the choice is yours. are you the guy. or gal. for this one of a kind truck that will snap every looky loo’s neck as they meander by. Does it look like the truck that could be loved by you and handed down for generations through your family tree? If so just click that bid button and send Jessie the message that you believe in her. I would keep her but I have too many toys in the barn and just need the room. If you win she will never let you down and I promise she will always leave you smiling! Happy Bidding!!! Terms: Deposit of 10% due via pay pal within 48 hours and the balance due before delivery. I will help facilitate shipping where possible but it is the buyers cost to do so.
