Description

This 1960 T-Bird was purchased by father about 10 years ago as a project car. The body was/is in good shape since it (according to the previous owner) spent most of its life in Oklahoma and Texas. We bought it from a man in southern Kansas that had heath issues and just couldn't undertake a restoration. The car was born a wine/purple color and repainted a gray color. which is what it was when we got it. We had it painted the bright red that it is now. The body was solid and really didn't need anything as far as body work or rust repair. The floor pan on the driver front has a few holes but that's it. The interior needs a complete restoration but company's like Larry's T-Birds have complete kits ready to go. Why don't we just do it? The honest answer is. I just don't have much love for this car and have other projects I'd rather spend the time on. All of the trim and seat frames are present. The front and rear windows are in good shape as are the rear quarter windows. the side glass on both doors are broken and the front wing windows are separating. but they are flat and any glass shop can cut them to fit. Mechanically speaking. it's pretty solid as well. We had the heads done and replaced several gaskets on the engine. The bottom end is solid and the transmission hasn't given us any problems. We've recently replaced the brake cylinders so now it stops. The ignition will need replacement since now you need to jiggle and shake the key to make it turn over. The generator is acting up but I'd imagine the next owner will go to an alternator system anyway. This car could make a drive. but I'd bring the trailer to be sure. We've driven it around town but nothing too far from home. I will post photos and will send any close ups you may want and take any calls/emails in regard to this car. We are located in Omaha. NE and any shipping/costs will be the purchasers responsibility but we will help out in any way that we can. We accept PayPal for the $500 deposit and greatly prefer cash when the time comes to take off with the car. I've dealt with most every scam you can think of and it is nothing personal when we ask for cash. This car is being sold as a running project car and will be in AS-IS condition with no warranties implied.
