More than just a half-hearted paint-and-decal polish, nd certainly more than a resto-mod-style engine up fit, he S281SC package included a number of appearance and performance upgrades. At the front of the car's body, sequentially numbered Saleen fascia anchors a painted grille behind a familiar horse and bright factory headlights. Above that fascia, n S281SC-exclusive hood fronts tinted glass, hich reflects an array of Saleen decals in black Ford mirrors. At the sides of that hood, ord's famous New Edge profile hangs textured Saleen louvers and small S281 emblems between rare Saleen C-pillars, raditional Saleen decals and seamless Saleen side skirts. At the back of that profile, flat Saleen wing and bright Center High Mount Stop Lamp shade a small blue oval badge, small S281SC emblem, custom Saleen fascia and polished stainless exhaust tips. DRIVETRAIN

If ever there were a muscle car that had a scowl to match its evil demeanor, his is it! Toss the hood and you'll find a 16-valve, ingle overhead cam V8 that, hanks to a Saleen supercharger, ort fuel injection and Saleen engine management, wists 375 rowdy horses into 410 lb./ft. of pavement-painting torque. Stout, olid and highly adaptable, ord's Teksid aluminum mod motors have spent the last two decades powering everything from Mustangs and street rods to Aviators and Panoz roadsters. Behind that smooth mill, slick-shifting 5-speed spins torque to Ford-installed gears. That torque transfers through a proven Saleen Racecraft Suspension, hich pairs a thick sway bar, ustom chassis geometry and custom wheel alignment with stiff springs, pgraded struts and upgraded shocks. At the corners of that suspension, ord power disc brakes make good use of standard ABS. Turns come courtesy of Ford's performance-tuned power steering, hich communicates well with standard stability control. Exhaust flows through fresh, .5-inch pipes, hich hang a Saleen crossover in front of Saleen mufflers. And all that first class speed and agility rolls on polished Saleen wheels, hich spin 255/35ZR18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports in front of 265/35ZR18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

INTERIOR

Inside this low-slung Ford, olstered Saleen seats feature crack-free leather hides. The car's dash is a classic Mustang layout that complements familiar, hite-face telemetry with Saleen white-face accessory gauges.
