Description

This has been a great traveling van for my family, ut the kids are all out of the nest so it's time to find a younger family or someone who needs a solid one ton conversion van. Sherrod did this conversion with 6 captains chairs and a power rear bench that converts to a full size bed. This van is a full (one ton) super duty chassis, ith rear disks on all corners and dual AC to keep it cool even here in the desert. It's been in the dry NM desert all it's life so there's no rust or corrosion. The 7.3 engine runs beautifully (no leaks or other issues), nd the 4R100 transmission works well too. The remote keyless entry, ower door locks, nd alarm all work like new.
I've had this van for about 10 years. Over that time, 've replaced the ball joints, teering box, lternator, nd had the dual AC serviced. I've had the front and rear brakes redone several times, nd I had an intermittent no start issue diagnosed as a wiring problem to the crank position sensor. That's the only time the truck gave me trouble, nd it didn't happen often but the local Powerstroke shop figured in out in less than an hour. I get about 16 mpg no matter how I drive the truck, ut I drive mostly highway so it may dip a little if all you did was local driving. Both batteries are less than 3 months old.
The clearcoat topcoat is original, nd it's been fatigued by the desert sun. The interior is still solid, ut the original leather on the seat bases has been buffed over the years as wel. I removed the roof panel at the rear of the van (over the bench seat/bed) to provide more headroom in this area, ut the AC flex hoses that go to the top roof outlets are visible. This could be closed up easily with some headliner material or ultrasuede, just didn't have a need to so it.
The van came with a custom AV system that is still intact and operative. I have not used the VHS player or the DVD player for years, nd I removed the LCD TV/Monitor but it works and goes with the van. Both the Panasonic CD deck up front and the Blaupunkt deck in the rear work, nd the Panasonic has an Aux jack for MP3/Ipod/smartphone input. There are two large (200 Amp I think) Infinity Amplifiers for the sound system - and all the speakers are also Infinity units. I removed the 12 inch subwoofer when I removed the rear ceiling drop panel, nd I didn't toss it but I'm not sure exactly where it is. (One of the Amps is wired just for the Sub).
The van needs to have the 1.5 inch hose that connects the filler neck to the tank replaced. It doesn't leak unless you fill the tank all the way to the brim, ut it'll drip if you overfill it. The other item is the tires - they are probably OK to get you home, ut the side wall cracking is another UV fatigue issue. It makes sense for the new owner to buy what they want and have a warranty, ut factor that into your price evaluation.
This is a no reserve auction. I am happy to answer any questions, nd you are welcome to check out the truck in advance if you like. I won't end the auction early, ut I will stand behind my description and do anything that helps you pick up or get the van shipped. John
