Description

Hello, this is a very cool 1930 Ford 5 window coupe street rod built on a TCI aftermarket frame. The car body is original Henry Ford steel. This car was originally built in 1988 in Missouri, hen sold to a guy in New Mexico, hen to me. I've owned it for 4 years and had fun with it. It has a built TH350 automatic trans, narrowed ford 9 inch rear axle with 4;11 pos, oser axles and disc brake conversion. The engine was built since I've owned it, ully balanced with forged crank, -beam rods, oversized probe forged 10;1 pistons bringing the 454 displacement up to 468 cu inches. It has aluminum heads, omp cams hydraulic roller lifters, allory electronic ignition, delbrock street tunnel ram with dual edelbrock 500 carbs. Shotgun intake. Hi volume water pump with big belt drive. It has a new oversized aluminul radiator inside a repop '32 grill. Everything in and on the engine has less than 800 miles on it!
The TCI frame alone was $9500 and has independent front suspension with coil overs. Coil over shocks on the rear as well. The car has 4 whl disc brakes and the new front rotors are drilled. New pads and master cylinder. It has a tilt steering column. No power steering, o power brakes, o power windows. This is a no frills 1960's type hot rod. It handles well and the frame is very rigid, asily handles the big block. Uses a ford mustang rack and pinion system. New sealed battery and new guide style stainless headlights.
The rims are new Weld racing alloys, ew firestones on the front, ood Mickey Thompson meats on the rear. The paint is original to the build and still looks very nice. The builder did a great job on the fabrication, t is a clean job on the 4 inch chop, he top of the car looks excellent with no waves. The trunk is clean and holds the new 10 gallon fuel cell. Lots of billet all around, K stereo system, ice vintage looking VDO gauges, &M shifter . There are no dents in the body.
One of the really cool things about this nice ride is that Roth himself pinstriped and signed the car ( you know Ed Roth, he Ratfink guy!). Since he has long since passed away you won't see any more of his exceptional work around. The interior is cloth and vinyl. In good shape, t has a cloth bench seat that is fixed in place. You don't need a seat adjustment, hese cabs are small. All carpet is black and in very good shape.
The car is titled as an original 1930 Ford coupe.
This is a basic description, lease message me if you have any specific questions and I'll post the answers here.
This is a very clean car with a lot of money invested over the years. It runs well, ut could use some carb adjustments. I'm at 9000 ft above sea level here in Colorado, t's running a little rich. If you live at close to sea level it might be fine for you as is. Also, ver since the engine was rebuilt there has been a noisy lifter. I haven't had the time to pull the manifold and put in a replacement. The car does have some chips in the paint, othing big and overall it still looks great. There are minor things here and there that could be made to look better, t just depends how picky you. I just don't want anyone to think they are getting a 45k dollar show car for what I'm asking. What they are getting is a super cool street rod that gets a huge amount of attention everywhere and is really beautiful. This is one bad ass looking car! A lot of time and a lot of high dollar quality parts went into this build.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, ncluding all arrangements and costs. The car is used, bviously, nd sold as-is. Buyer must send a $500 non- refundable deposit to me within 24 hours of end of auction, emaining balance must be mailed to me in the form of a cashiers check, ue in 7 days after auction or 14 days in person if you are coming to pick the car up yourself. I have driven this car on a 300 mile highway trip, ut I strongly suggest that you trailer the car to your destination vs driving it.
I have a very reasonable reserve on this and a buy it now price if you so choose. Thanks for looking and again, et me know if you have any questions.
