2013 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible 5.8L V8 navigation SVT package

This is a one-of-a-kind 2013 Shelby GT500 Convertible. There were only 13 of these Shelby GT500's made with the options and packages included. This Performance White with a Sonic Blue Stripe Mustang includes the Electronics Package with Navigation along with the Shaker Pro System (also comes with a Shelby car cover). The exhilarating 5.8L V8 puts out 662 horsepower. You won't want to miss this one. Ford's SVT division produced this GT500 to outperform its competitors. It flies above the rest going from 0 - 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and 0 - 100 mph in 7.9 seconds. The optional SVT Performance Package adds adjustable dampers and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential. The Torsen differential provides a full-time torque-sensing system to help optimize traction and handling.

The new launch control system in this GT500 has been upgraded with RPM hold, feature intended for the more advanced drag racer. You can turn on the launch control at any time by pushing the button on the dash, ut it is only active once the vehicle is up to operating temperature. One trait that stands out is that the clutch is much stiffer than in previous Mustangs, ut not difficult to operate. Upgraded to handle the increased torque, he clutch is 10 mm larger than that in the 2012 GT500, ith stronger springs and higher-performance friction material.

All-new Bilstein electronically adjustable dampers, art of the SVT Performance Package, re adjustable in the front and rear, nd can be set to normal or sport with the simple push of a button. Normal provides a smooth and comfortable highway ride while sport is specifically tuned for racetrack use or a Sunday drive on a favorite canyon road.

The SVT Performance Package also gets you a larger front stabilizer bar, which helps keep the GT500 flatter, inimizing body roll during cornering. The front brakes have massive 15-inch vented Brembo rotors and 6-piston Brembo aluminum front calipers with high-performance friction pads. The rear brakes are 13.8-inches (2-inches larger than a Mustang GT’s) with single-piston calipers. New front-brake dust shields help protect parts from heat while providing maximum cooling airflow.
