Description

Original 170 Straight 6 engine ( I believe it is numbers matching but have not verified).. 3 speed transmission that is now a floor shift (No longer column shift but the steering column shift collar is still present with no shift lever attached.). Factory yellow car and some of this original paint is visible in the door jambs.
The engine was taken apart by the previous owner to have the head rebuilt. The head is currently out of the car but is rebuilt/restored and ready for Installation. It looks great. The block turns fine as well. Still have the original 68 / 170 tag for engine. It comes many necessary components for re-assembling the block except for the head gasket (Air cleaner, Oil Bath, Starter, Alternator, Radiator, Fan, Pulleys, belts, etc). This engine is an original block in great shape. I was told the previous owner disassembled a completely stock motor for the rebuild of the head but never re-assembled it. The clutch linkage isn't fully hooked up to the transmission but the pedal and linkage looks to be there.
The 4 wheel drive hardware looks to be there but there is no shift lever for it in the cab (Not sure why this is but many extra parts come with the car that may be the missing components.). BF Goodrich tires that are old and have some crack but lots of tread.
Brakes don't work Looks to just need bled as all hardware is there. I haven't gotten around to doing this yet.
Most exterior and interior complete (Bronco Emblems, tailights, tailight bezels, dash knobs, headlight trim rings). Missing door panels. Missing Glovebox lock cylinder, but latch mechanism looks to be there. The seats look to originally be green and someone put these black vinyl seats OVER the original green ones. Not sure if these are original to the car but I know Yellow exterior with Green interior was a common ford color combo in this era. The drivers door won't open but looks to have the full latch assembly. I haven't dug into it yet. Both windows roll up and down. the passenger side is missing a door lock. I have a key that matches the ignition but doesn't match the doors I don't think. Comes with front and rear bumpers. Front Bumper has push bar on it.
Frame has surface rust but isn't bad. Some body panels have the normal rust. Rust at bottom of tailgate, door jambs, below the doors along the rocker panel, bottom of doors, front floor boards. Some previous work was done. Has what looks to be a waterproof liner on the full floor. It has some sealant/glue under that liner. Has some patch work done around on problematic body spots such as the front floorboards but overall pretty good. The front windshield is cracked. Budget paint job that didn't fully mask everything off (taillights, chrome around hard top windows, emblems, bumpers). . The inside of the hard top was painted and is now peeling. Has budget window tint installed around it (I spent some time removing it but didn't finish it). Also the previous owner looks to have loved stickers. There are Edelbrock, Holley, Accel, and other performance product stickers all over the windows and dash. I've tried to remove many of them but haven't finished yet.
Clean Open title under my name that matches the glovebox Vin plate.
Comes with a ton of other extra parts. Please look at all photos prior to bidding and let me know if you have any questions. You should be able to click them to make them larger. I have a TON more photos I can supply you with at a web link if you message or call me, including ones of the parts and more of the frame/underbody.
