1966 Ford Fairlane 500 2dr. hardtop 289 auto original solid straight

This nice little '66 Fairlane is a great car that I've really enjoyed driving for the last few years! It has been very dependable - has been my primary transportation during that time and is only for sale to help fund a "toy". The engine is a smooth running 289 that looks like the original - no smoke, doesn't overheat and starts easily every time. The trans works fine and shifts smoothly, but - like many older C4s - it is cold natured and sometimes "pops" into neutral when it hasn't fully warmed up. The interior is original and does show it's age, but it is still clean and not embarrassing; the headliner has a few small rips & the sail panels / package tray are "wavy". I have a brand new OE style & color carpet set that will go with the car. The body is straight, solid and retains much of it's original paint! While there are a few spots showing surface rust, I have been unable to locate any heavy rust or rot anywhere on the car. The passenger side rear quarter panel has been resprayed due to some "garage rash", but is was a very minor repair and - as you can see from the trunk pics - no serious metal damage occurred. The Fairlane looks great from a short distance and always turns heads! I will include a few extra parts that I've collected for the car over the years; recently replaced items include tires, radiator, thermostat, battery, plugs, plug wires and trunk seal. Re. the standard "could I drive it home" question - it is old and anything could happen, but this is one seriously dependable car, that drives very nicely in town and on the highway - no pulling or weird stuff - it's without a doubt the most reliable and possibly the best old car that I've owned.
